I think it's fair to say that the UK version of The Innocents (1961) also bests the Criterion Collection edition
It absolutely does not, I had both and the Criterion is the easy winner in the PQ department (even leaving aside the stretching issue). It’s from a 4k scan and looks absolutely magnificent (the BFI disc is from a much older master from the IP).

Not familiar with Arrow Video. Is it available on Amazon UK or somewhere else?

The picture would help, even if you just send me one, because Amazon DE won't ship this to the US because they think it's Region B. Apparently they've gotten burned by too many Region B returns from the US.

Not sure how much of an upgrade the PQ is from the US version but I'd like to find out - and eBay sellers are way more expensive than Amazon DE (haven't found any better alternatives). So, if the list is right, it'd be great to get the site right and, with a picture, I'd be able to continue to engage with Amazon. Thanks for any help.
How are we supposed to find out if Amazon DE won't ship this to the US anymore?

Not familiar with Arrow? Get ready for addiction to one of the best Blu Ray labels out there. Some Arrow titles have US distribution rights, and are Region A, while others are only for distribution in Region B territories, primarily the UK.

I get Arrow titles from lots of places, but Amazon UK is a good place to start, because they remove the VAT tax before shipping it to you.

Arrow also has their own website, and they have occasional sales, which are great for picking up older titles.

They have their occasional technical misfires, like any label, but I like to think of them as if Criterion and Scream Factory had a baby that moved to England.

Here's the Fury:

Do you want the best version of the film or do you want to work on your sacred "region B shelf"?

Which is more important when you settle down to watch the movie?

Even yesterday you said

I don't get why whenever you ask about a certain title, people help you choose, and then you need to go round and round and round. It's tiring for the folks on here who help you out. And it happens EVERY time.

It's quite simple:
I am working on a DVD shelf which will be labeled "Best Region B titles that are not available in Region A or that are of much better quality than their Region A counterparts"

Or you could just call it “Region B”.

Fine. Don't buy the Criterion edition. In fact you won't pick up the BFI edition either, following your logic.

Q: Why didn't you pick up the superior Criterion edition of The Innocents, even though you're in the US?
A: Because I am working on a DVD shelf which will be labeled "Best Region B titles that are not available in Region A or that are of much better quality than their Region A counterparts"

Not to mention BFI uses an older, stretched out, noisey, older master. I guess that’s what Rocko prefers.

It's a serious conundrum: You're region free, but your priority is a shelf of B titles better than region A. So in the case of The Innocents, you buy squat.

Yep. Makes complete sense. And you waste people's time coming to this absurd conclusion.

Don't get me wrong, I've heard of Arrow before, just never knew what their catalog was like. It seems like Amazon UK is the best place to start from. Great price on The Fury!

Looking at my region B locked titles I'd also suggest Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.

Question: what is the point of spending extra money on a modded player (in the US) if all I will be using it for is for region A discs?

If I'm gonna throw in some other Region B releases that are better than Region A...Carrie, The Killers '46, The Long Goodbye, The Thing all from Arrow.

Thanks for the suggestions.
This also looks like a better choice than region A version:

You'll need to have that shelf label also say: Copyright HD Goofnut
