The 1.78 Shout version actually matches the director and DP intentions as far as color and tone, as stated in the commentary track. It's a shame it's an old sharpened master, but I'll take it over in the incorrect color and horrible framing of the alternate version.

Can't speak to the German disc.

No I realise the issues with Shout’s new master, but was wondering why HD thought the German disc had worse PQ than Shout’s 1.78 disc (the German disc seems to have tried to fix some of the issues with Shout’s new master).

I'd honestly put them on about the same level for different reasons, but if I had to pick one I'd go with the DE disc because of the correct AR.

I think there is a Spanish one and a US one, correct? It's a great flick with the best Atmos track I have ever heard

Newbie here just wondering if a list of releases for a certain film doesn't specify which has the best picture or audio quality. I'm guessing any of those releases are okay to pick up or is there not enough information on those particularly releases to determine which is the best. Thanks in advance.

I took the liberty noting a few titles mainly look for the best pq everything else comes after unless there are errors on the particularly disc lol, now Iron Monkey has 2K scan by Eureka UK but doesn't seem to updated on here but I'm guessing that's best version picture wise.

I just updated Iron Money. Blow Out and City of God are on the list for differing extras. The Conversation is on the list because of The Cigar. No confirmation on Lord of War, but I'd go with the DE disc. I'd go with the UK disc on The Loved Ones.

Can't go wrong with Criterion's US release of Blow Out IMO. Looks good, great extras, not one of Criterion's compression troubled discs. I'd only get the Arrow for completionist sake if you love the movie that much.

I actually live in the UK most likely import the Criteon version anyway as well get the Arrow version. Thanks.
