It's available on DVD but I have no idea how good/bad that release is so I figured I'd ask in case it's on BD somewhere.

They're pretty much all like that, their encoder's not great at handling grain no matter how many bits they apportion to it. As Lyris said in the thread about Kino's US version of The Long Goodbye, the problem may lie in the quantization setting, as if they're unwilling (for the sake of a quicker turnaround) or unable to let the encode get as close to the source as possible.

Well, no answer to the Teahouse question yet, but I've got another one. I posted a Q in a couple of Mummy threads asking if the Trilogy discs, quality-wise, were exactly the same as the individual release versions. Some fella responded by saying that the UK set was newer. So, anyone have any word on whether or not there's a best (quality) way - on BD - to buy the Mummy movies?

P.S. BTW, why, in a thread entitled List of International BDs with Better PQ, AQ, and/or More Extras is an HD DVD listed as Best PQ?
