Obligatory Trouble In Paradise monthly upgrade request, also they can rescue Seance On A Wet Afternoon from HVE out-of-print DVD purgatory (à la Mr. Klein) while they're at it.

I'd like ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, THE THREE MUSKETEERS (1973) and THE FOUR MUSKETEERS by the end of the year.

I do feel like we're very likely getting Arsenic this year, after finally getting Bringing Up Baby last year.

I'm going to have a (first) cow if Criterion doesn't add more films by a certain woman soon.

If Paramount is releasing 45 Years this week does that mean the Criterion edition's days are numbered?

Just found out about the 45 Years having a re-release. Thanks for the heads-up!

May order it next sale if it's still in-print although I'm in no rush since I haven't seen it yet.

Really would love ANY Scorsese, Pasolini, or Bertolucci....

As I've mentioned before, would love "The Painted Bird".

"Drugstore Cowboy" would be most welcome.
"Burn!" would be great.

Likely won't be any of these, so.....
Damn! There's lots in your sig that I want too but if I started adding to my sig there'll be no end.

Anything from Alan Rudolph would be welcome. It's crazy that everyone; Criterion, Arrow, went nuts for Altman and overlooked Rudolph. Vicious Circle, Equinox and Mortal Thoughts would top my list of wants. Philip Kaufman too. ULoB and Henry and June are overdue. And Holy Smoke needs to join my German copy of In The Cut on my shelf. Beebe and Campion a totally winning collaboration.

In terms of upgrades, hoping for Lubitsch's Trouble in Paradise and Godard's Contempt.

Would also love for Scorsese's After Hours to finally enter the collection, preferably a UHD.

Considering picking up the region free English-friendly Spanish blu. The cheapest price for me today is £12.78 on amazon germany. Not bad.

You’re in the Criterion thread talking about buying a bootleg without the OAR? Haha. I know it feels like a lifetime for After Hours to get released — I was a teen when I first saw it in 1985 — but one would hope we’re that much closer. And I’m with you on Equinox, but lost hope at this point.

So announcements probably next week. I would guess. Maybe they're be kind and do them this Friday.

But could Criterion please get The Last Detail. If Sony is going to sit on that one then maybe they can give it some love and release Ashby's best film.

You could just get the region free Indicator release, which Criterion is unlikely to top anyway. I'd say if there was to be a new US release, it would eventually come from Kino.

Congratulations, you must have found something wrong with Indicator's release that I haven't.

The Indicator standard release isn't even that expensive. You can find it from US retailers for ~$20.

I have the old Twilight Time release of "The Last Detail". (I agree it's a great film).

If it gets a US reissue, I'm betting it would be through Mill Creek or someone like that (they have it out on DVD).

So, yes, the Indicator is likely your best bet.

I hope you're right. But I feel that Baker set is going to be late 2022.

Any chance Criterion would release Toys (1992) or The Gods must be crazy (1980)?
