If Criterion do manage to make a deal with Warner, there are a number of titles I'd like to see just as much, if not more, than Badlands:

Greed (von Stroheim)
The Crowd (Vidor)
The Big Parade (Vidor)
The Wind (Sjostrom)
Who's That Knocking At My Door (Scorsese)
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Scorsese)
Girlfriends (Weill)
The Emigrants/The New Land (Troell)
Local Hero (Forsyth)
Dreams (Kurosawa)
Before Sunrise/Sunset (Linklater)

My Warner list would include:

Day for Night
'Round Midnight
Petulia
The Late Show
Fury
I am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang
Night Moves

I would like to see Antonioni's Blow-Up in case of a WB partnership.

If WB licensed their movies, I would love to see Criterion releases of Badlands and Until the End of the World.

I'd like Criterion to release Badlands so everyone will shut up about it already.

For whatever reasons Sony doesn't directly release a lot of catalog titles. They prefer to license them out to Criterion, Image, Twilight Time and Mill Creek.

I am sure there is no end to it. If we get Badlands, another title will come and take its place to annoy everyone again . After all, with the new Criterion we are just an inch away from people seriously suggesting The Dark Knight.

I don't know if any one else here listens to Norah Jones but please watch this video and tell me what film comes to mind. Also, if you love long takes this video has it!

This might be the most unforgettable music video I've seen:

Well, something had to replace The Game, and they went and released the Qatsi Trilogy before we could start in on that one as a replacement.

How about we all start whining about Bergman's Magic Flute?--Looks like we'll never get that one, so it'll serve us a while.

Thank you for this! I'm not really sure what film comes to mind... (although I did get a Leave Her to Heaven feel, if that makes sense.)

Ohh yeahhhh, I see that. I get both those films out of it... I'm a casual fan of hers, not a big one...but I really really like this.

Missing In Action? Apocalypse Now?

How about Deliverance... or Titanic. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.
