Complete and utter immaturity, social retardation and thoughtlessness.

Downright AWFUL!

On the other hand, Michael Cera in the closet was much better! There was actual substance there at least!
I hate Plaza but dial it back man. It's not that bad.

Who was the director that went in and just took firm and barely discussed them? Pretty sure he brought a massive bag to carry more lol

Holy hell, what does this even matter? If you’re not a fan of someone appearing in a closet video, just don’t watch it.

That's Jeff Baena. He directed LIFE AFTER BETH, JOSHY, and THE LTITLE HOURS.

Oh, I misunderstood your question. Sorry!

EDIT: Accidentally wrote INGRID GOES WEST when I meant THE LITTLE HOURS.

Actually I didn't watch it. I honestly have no interest in watching videos of already rich celebrities scoring free swag, no matter who it is.

I find a lot of the closet vids to be awkward, and sometimes cringey. Not everyone is well versed in film, or even discussion of film, so most of the time we see people picking out stuff, and pointing at films they recognize, and maybe saying a word or two about something we probably already knew.

Pretty sure most of us would be too busy trying to manage our drool, while grabbing everything we could, to try and say some insightful stuff into the camera.

Aubrey and Baena are just on the media circuit for the film The Little Hours. Stopping by Criterion HQ is just one of their stops along the way.

I watch everything, good and bad, and I have the freedom of speech to praise and/or criticize.

Cuaron, yes, he's a greedy bastard, though he has a body of film work to back up that greed of his... but yeah, you can throw that Closet video in with the Plaza/Baena one too. Lol.

My guest bedroom closet is a lot like the Criterion Closet. No lie.

I keep all of my Blu-rays in plastic bins in my guest bedroom walk-in closet. I like storing them this way, because I don't want my living room to look like the inside of a Best Buy store.

I should invite random actresses to my closet. Seriously.

You know what would be funny?

A minimalist in the Criterion Closet.

Has that ever happened yet? Someone who goes in there and doesn't "take" anything at all.

You're also wise, in case a future flash flood occurs and wipes out your film library like it once did I recall.

I think we should have a fan-created Criterion Closet video series made! We'll shoot in a Criterion completist's closet (like someone who owns every title). The gist is, the visitor/s will not be able to take any titles since there are only one of each, but will be able to talk about the film. We can just invite regular, ordinary film buffs who happened to love Criterion into the closet and videotape them talking about the movies for 5 or 10 min.

Mike Leigh and William Friedkin were the two best CC closet videos I can remember.

Maybe they can get Kristen Stewart to do one now that she's in the collection. Or Lena Dunham. I can't imagine how vitriolic the Youtube comments would get if Dunham did one.

The Aubrey Plaza & guy's closet video was pretty bad, but there'll never be one worse than this:

Yet another double dip on Criterion's part because Mill Creek just announced it. Was definitely going to get the Mill Creek disc, but now I'll hold out for the CC edition. Very exciting news!
