It seems to be infrequently used, possibly because it has a bad rep from the DVD days because it was never as "seamless" as advertised. Not sure about the season sets, but I'm pretty sure that the recent Star Trek "Roddenberry Vault" collection used seamless branching (or an equivalent) for the two different versions of each episode.

I believe the first two (maybe it was just the first one, but I thought it was the first two?) Harry Potter movies used seamless branching to play either the theatrical or extended cut. I recall it working seamlessly and unnoticeable last time I watched it.

Finding out my fellow collectors were a bunch of idiots was a sad day for sure.

Why is Aubry Plaza in the Criterion closet? I guess they'll let any celebrity that drops by their offices into the closet.

I don't think I'd struggle too much finding a reason to let Aubry Plaza in my closet.

Agreed. She's annoying. Definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel here.

Neither have I, and I'm sure tons of people on this site. I take it people who aren't fans of her haven't watched Parks and Rec.

I only know Plaza from Parks and Recreation, but she was delightful in that so I have no issue with this.

I watched it for a few seasons. She was easily the worst part of it.

I like Plaza fine, but this video does nothing for her. They both come off not being very well spoken and even fairly ignorant of the films. At least when Cera was in there he did more than mumble and ask "what is this?" He actually had some decent insights and completed his sentences.

That Criterion Closet video featuring Aubrey Plaza was hands down the worst "closet" video I've ever witnessed in my entire life!

All I could take away from that, aside from her cluelessness, is the GREED shooting out of her eyes as she plundered the closet, aimlessly checking out the Criterion artwork as Baena greedily kept dumping titles into his silly bag. Complete and utter immaturity, social retardation and thoughtlessness.

Downright AWFUL!

On the other hand, Michael Cera in the closet was much better! There was actual substance there at least!

Why all the snobbery towards the people in the closet?

Just killing some time while kids are at the pool. Got a couple Criterion DVDs from the library (they have no blus). Anyway after watching my bluray of Blow-Up, I'm on an Antonioni kick. I watched my DVD of the Passenger and by coincidence Zabriskie Point was on TV the other day, so I checked out Red Desert which I've never seen before. I also checked out Magnificent Obsession which will be my first Sirk film.

Just that video with Ms. Plaza. Honestly, it was 2 minutes of pure nothing. Did you watch it? Compare that video with many other Closet videos and I doubt you'll learn much (of course many men would objectify Aubrey Plaza as a sexy woman, but what does beauty have to do with real cinema knowledge?).
