That isn't the same thing.
Criterion's own Twitter will post it and it will typically be just a screenshot. Janus posted a poster of Nights of Cabiria, which could mean they have it, but even then, any Janus restoration of the film would take months (after a theatrical release) to come to disc. |

Agreed. Not only is the film great, but the implication behind it would be even better. If Janus truly does have Nights of Cabiria, then what other OOP StudioCanal titles would they have?

You've got to think an "insider" follows this thread. So, how about an update for the faithful who spend a fortune on your titles? |

No. A title is only OOP if it says so on Criterion's site. Titles periodically go through periods where they are out of stock via third party vendors. It'll be back at regular prices shortly (and there's a sale coming up soon anyways on Criterion's site where it will be half price so you might as well wait).

It's really not that complicated. If the 15th falls on a weekend, they make the announcements on the Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday).

Sorry if this is off topic, but what is up with "My Criterion?"
Edit: I apologize if this has been discussed before, but it has taken ages. You don't think... we won't get it back, right? That's just my cynicism talking, probably. Last edited by andantelise; 09-15-2018 at 07:55 AM. |

Just had chance to have a little chat with Pip Chodorov at Beijing (he came to show the wonderful 16mm prints of some experimental shorts at BISFF), Criterion is not going to release the Maya Deren set but some other company will, can not wait for this set!
