Many boards have become sources of fud, trolls, and marketing platforms, just look at AVS.

Thats where I am fond of sites that have the regular board, and then a premium pay board. Having to pay weeds a lot of the nutjobs out.

The linkedin professional forums are pretty good. You don’t have to pay a membership fee, but you do have to qualify (which generally weeds out those with impaired thought).

Looks terrific. I'm curious if this confirms a switching ratio.

All the teasers/trailers released for it so far have had a switching ratio, whether it gets retained on the regular theatrical DCP or is an IMAX exclusive remains to be seen.

Presentations include ‘2k, 4k, 8k and the Bermuda Triangle of Depth of Field, Sensitivity, and Sharpness’ by Peter Centen and for HFR enthusiasts there’s a Breakfast Roundtable ‘High-Frame-Rate Masters for Standard-Frame-Rate Production’ by Tony Davis (think Billy Lynn)
The HPA Room Block at the event hotel (the Hyatt Regency which is pet friendly , with a very modest fee for your best friend) is now sold out. However, HPA has secured discounted rooms at other local properties.

P.S.
Looking forward to the Thrilla in Manila (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3542810/) where the technique of HFR for movies should be even further refined based on prior experience.

Will this be filmed in HFR?

if what we are seeing in the trailers - it looks like the movie is shot and displayed in three aspect ratios as the last movie displayed in it's IMAX presentation.

That’s the plan.

As to possible scenarios for the future home delivery of HFR content (wrt the U.S., substitute 120 Hz in the starting box)
to all types TV sets….

I got a regular scope trailer with some film back in December (think it was Assassin's Creed), but yes theatrically with Rogue One in IMAX and even the 1.85 Rings there was the switching ratio trailer.

I still tend to think the ratio will be IMAX exclusive since at least it used to be part of the contract for using those cameras, but very interesting how often the switching ratio has been used.
