Some also refer to hyperacuity as Vernier acuity, same thing - see… http://arapaho.nsuok.edu/~salmonto/v.../Lecture21.pdf

When interested folks have had time to read and absorb (at least the part on Vernier acuity above ^ and listen to the presentation by Dr. McCarthy at the past NAB, I’ll continue with the spiel).

This is off the top of my head, so it’s probably not complete…Angels & Demons, Body Double, Cowboy, The Da Vinci Code, Funny Girl, Glory, Godzilla (1998 ? I think that’s the year, not the one from the ‘50s), Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, Guns of Navarone, Hancock, Hard Times, Jerry Maguire, The Last Detail, Mask of Zorro, MIB, MIB 2, MIB 3, Moneyball, On the Waterfront, The Patriot, Philadelphia, Premium Rush, Salt, Spidey, Spidey 2, The Tourist, The Way we Were.

Hot damn! Squirrel? I’ve never eaten squirrel, rattlesnake yes, squirrel no.

Hunting should be outlawed in my opinion.

I heard snake meat can be quite good. As for squirrel, it's quite tender and slightly nutty in taste and I like it a lot. Apparently in the UK many fine dining restaurants sell it for 30 pounds per plate or something like that. I guess $25 USD for a 6 month license is a bargain by comparison.

I wouldn't know, I'm not into eating squirrels.
Maybe, you are not either. Dry wit and all. Slightly nutty?

You know, I stopped hunting during my teenage years after I got close enough to look into the eyes of a deer while living in Pa. and the deer looked back almost asking me “Why”? So, I put down my rifle and never picked it up again. I guess I had one of those *Deer Hunter* moments.

I can understand the need for hunting to trim down overpopulation of a species in order to prevent the spread of widespread disease (which would be a greater evil due to long-term suffering by the animal(s) rather than near instant death); nevertheless, it’s just not for me.

^ that from yesterday.
Today, Sony made an 'official' announcement as to their 4K titles and library in regards to their Video Unlimited service. Should be all over the internet by now with the help of the journalistic hound dogs.

Today it’s also good to see a formal official overview of HDMI 2.0 from the HDMI forum… http://www.hdmi.org/manufacturer/hdmi_2_0/index.aspx since I leaked last July that the specs had been approved…….https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...mi#post7907163

P.S.
We now have a dedicated thread to discuss its significance here…https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=227198

I can totally understand that. In my mind as long as I am eating meat I should at least "eliminate the middle-man" to kill game myself from time to time instead of having someone always kill it for me, and I am doing nature a service by keeping the population in check as there are fewer natural predators due to the encroachment of humans into their territory, which is why the DNR gives bag limits and such every year depending on how the population is doing. Additionally I feel killing the game myself is more humane as if I do my job right the squirrel will feel no pain if I place my shot correctly, as opposed to other more industrialized means of obtaining meat such as boiling chickens alive to get their feathers off while keeping the skin intact. If anyone is going hunting, they should treat the animals they kill with respect as they are not merely for our consumption.

Or better still. Respect the fact there is a living, breathing creature next to us and not shoot it.

Can't think of a 4k tie in for this . Penton man, you are good at that

Maybe I was recording my hunt with a 4K camera? That's the best I can do here.

Will I can at least change the subject to something more pleasant and 4K on-topic before Derb and others have an off-topic reading stroke. How about the acute realization of pending mass destruction of a city and all life within it?

One moment, must do an LG tv YouTube search.

Well I don't want to see it! Seeing that in 1080p would be traumatic for me.
