I have a 1990 BMW 535i (172,000), a 97 BMW 740iL (163,000), and my recent addition...a '11 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. That Genesis is a really nice car - compared it to the newer BMW's and went with it, more care for the money.

Like what John said above. No car payments is quite nice! I'm keeping my Ack till she falls apart. At this point right now, I think she'll get to 250k with no problems.
I wanna see if I can catch you I've put 10k on my car since April

Single car family here and that vehicle is a 2013 Mazda CX-5 GT AWD. Dumped a 2009 Civic hybrid with almost 60k on the odometer.

Good thing about them is allot of them are linked to actual bmw approved dealers (bmw doesn't officially recognize them anymore they broke their relationship), you aren't getting max hp return on the dollar, but it is less strain on the parts. It does play well with the 4 year warranty so if by some chance the dinan tune broke the transmission (however unlikely), its almost always covered someway either from dinan, or bmw. Not so with JB4/Vishnu exc. although if your skilled enough with a wrench just get the bmw approved code wiper and wipe all the tuning codes that get logged in the ECU from the JB4 exc.

Then Dinan would be the best bet. Its the most warranty friendly (when done at a BMW dealer you can get it done at an indy shop, but you'd get less help from dinan and bmw than if you did it at a authorized bmw dealer).
