Just watched it, it was pretty great. Really enjoyed it and it brought me right back up to speed. Now I'm excited to see where they take it, as there wasn't really any new plot development at the end of the episode that made me say "wow I can't wait to see what happens next."

I am, obviously, excited.

He'll be back. No doubt in my mind.
I sure hope so, I would hate to see Hank spend the rest of the series bedridden or in a chair. He has been in some insane shootouts over the show, and I'd hate to think he's seen his last.

I'm not suddenly going to say 'hey that was a brilliant argument, you're right it did suck' lol.
Oh yeah I hated that one , I mean I guess from getting us going it was fine and accomplished something in that respect, but I don't see not talking as some kind of cinematic brilliance that should be showered with praise, otherwise half the people in this forum should be screenwriters and directors. It just felt like it was a grab to play to people who want to dig into some kind of brilliance, when really it was as simple as the outline below:

recap, not much talking, changing clothes, murder death kill, back to work (with his hideous wife mixed in who by the way, wouldn't even give the guy a ride down the street)

Honestly I don't know how anyone was tense either given we didn't have a chance in hell at seeing Walt get offed in the opening episode of the season. And I knew that
[Show spoiler] guy who was at gale's was going to get offed, I just figured it would be the bald guy was going to cap him as he walked away when they were talking in the back, but once he put the suit on I was like see ya later buddy

murder death kill?........hot dogs.........Armour hot dogs!

The look on Mike's face spoke values to me when
[Show spoiler]Gus ganked Victor. He is Gus' hitter and has probably seen things that would horrify most men and he had this look of utter shock at seeing how easily Gus could kill one of his most loyal men, he was so surprised he even raised his gun towards Gus out of instinct! If I were Mike that would make me think that Gus doesn't quite value loyalty as much as you would expect. That scene could play out much bigger down the road with Mike out of self preservation possibly even taking Gus out. Just my thoughts on that scene anyways.

I'm surprised no one is talking about the very end, where we see the lab files are still in Gale's apartment. Kind of made me feel like the story would turn into Dexter or something.. what do you guys think?

I think Gus probably has enough power/influence to be able to get those lab notes back. It might just be a red herring to throw us off, I can see his henchman grabbing those notes before the cops get them. But then again...you never know with this show.

After waiting a year for the new season, this first episode went by so quick, I wish they gave us a 2hr opener!!

Thanks

I would have to agree about the skyler part. She is a gruesome beast indeed, and I couldn't care less about her arc unless it entailed her demise.

My first thought as well.

Is it just me, or is anyone sort of disappointed with the first two episodes so far? The only thing that seems to be interesting to me is what is going to to happen between Gus, Walt, and Mike. Jesse doesn't seem to be doing much, Hank is still trying to walk, and Saul hasn't been doing anything. I was really looking forward to the fallout from the lab files at the end of last week's premier, but nothing came of it this week. =/

Not disappointed at all. I already stated that the premiere delivered, and this one was great as well.

Jesse doesn't seem to be doing much? He just killed a man in cold blood. I think the writers are handling his reaction well, especially in this episode. He has to surround himself with morons, drugs, etc - anything that can keep himself from feeling guilt, as shown in the final shot of this episode (Aaron Paul keeps on delivering, by the way.)

I read an interesting theory online about Gus, one that seems to be reading way too far into things, but it's still an interesting one. It was basically assuming that Mike killed Gus. His reasoning for this theory was because Mike had blood on his fingers, he told Walter that he'll never see Gus again (a statement that can be easily interpreted in another way), his constant drinking, etc. I don't really buy it.

The lab files will emerge next week.

That's a very interesting theory and could definitely be explained given what has happened. Definitely intertested in that plot.

Also not disappointed with the first two episodes at all. Jesse won't be doing much of anything since he just killed someone. I'm sure the files will show up next week as you said. They don't always go over everything right away.

I think that theory would be possible, except for the fact that Gus called Walt when he was walking up to his house telling him to leave
