Labels are not the determining factor of whether discs are likely to bronze or not - where the disc was replicated is. Sure, labels will likely press multiple releases at the same replicator, but not always, and problems from one label at a certain replicator clue you in to look at other labels that use the same replicator.
That's why I keep asking for mould IFPI numbers. That is the only data that will be useful in figuring out what discs are potentially at risk and which are (to the best of our knowledge) safe. Last edited by neo_reloaded; 06-13-2019 at 08:19 AM. |

License To Drive seems to be outside of the "problem" timeframe, based on current knowledge. No 2012 US-released/replicated discs have been reported to bronze.

I just had another problem with a Fox disc. My copy of The Simpsons Movie freezes and skips at the beginning at the Green Day concert when their podium starts to sink in the lake. Disc is in mint condition too. This is getting really irritating. Another title I have to rebuy.

![]() I made a complete moronic move and tossed my entire blu ray for Unfaithful (case and everything) and didn't realize they changed the artwork since it first came out when I could've at least kept the previous artwork for my replacement copy. ![]() Last edited by MassiveMovieBuff; 07-04-2019 at 07:26 PM. |

Did it previously work? Or had you never played it before?
Did you purchase it when it was first released, just recently, or sometime in between? Is it the 3-disc steelbook edition or the 2-disc general release edition? What is the IFPI mould code of the defective disc (text in the clear plastic at the very center of the disc)? I don't intend to overwhelm you with questions ![]() Last edited by neo_reloaded; 07-17-2019 at 12:20 AM. |

-3-disc hidefninja steelbook edition. -775 483 L0 & 775 483 L1 are the numbers on the disc Never played it before. Plays fine on my xbox (so far), but while ripping for my ipad I'm getting uncorrectable errors. Last edited by totheworkshed; 07-23-2019 at 05:05 AM. |

For the IFPI number, that's not quite what we're looking for. The mould IFPI number is actually in the clear plastic at the very center of the disc. You might need a magnifying class to fully read it, but you should be able to at least see its location with the naked eye. ![]() |

Okay, so -
A few months ago, my Face/Off bluray stopped playing 30 mins before the ending. Didn't think anything of it, and I forgot about it. Two weeks ago, my Cloverfield bluray stopped playing 5 mins before the end. And yesterday, my Spiderwick Chronicles bluray stopped 15 minutes before. And now I found this thread. Sheesh. I had no idea this was so widespread. I found bronzing on two of my old Lionsgate discs - Crank and Battle for Terra - but they still seemed to play fine. Cloverfield was half bronzed and FaceOff was fully bronzed over. |

My Cloverfield copy also crapped out on me at the same spot as yours around 2010 as well. Replacement copy also still works fine. |
