Meh, I'd put Seattle #2. Maybe #1, right there with New England. They've been crushing everyone since October. Their last 5 games they've given up a total of just 33 points. Assuming they beat St. Louis this weekend (which they will) they'll have home field throughout the playoffs. They'll be favored over any team in the NFC playoffs at home for good reason.

No thank you. The NFL will get my annual Sunday Ticket contribution and that's it!
Even merchandise! I used to buy jerseys all the time. With players these days, basically, playing under a series of 1-year deals and jumping teams so quickly the only jersey I would even consider buying is a legit throwback.
I'm sure the NFL will do just fine without me spending ~$10k/year.
Last Titans jersey I bought was CJ's before he had his 2k season.

Only jersey I wear is McNair's. RIP.

I would love to get another jersey, but it would be a horrible investment at the moment. Casey and Walker are the only two elite players on our team, but not a single player on this team is guaranteed to be here long term.

I'm just waiting for that special player to come along... might have to keep waiting a while.

Sure I'll play

1. Seahawks - They've been playing like the Seachamps of last year the past month or so.
2. Packers - I expect they'll win Sunday night and get a divisonal game at home where they're difficult to beat.
3. Patriots - Win vs the Jets was narrow, but I'd like to think that Edelman, Blount, and Connolly will be ready for playoffs.
4. Cowboys - I may not like it, but they've heated up.
5. Broncos - I never underestimate Peyton
6. Bengals - They've been tenacious, and they bounced back from a brutal mistake.
7. Lions - The Lion defense has a chance.
8. Steelers - Differerent versions of the Steelers have shown up, but if the strong version shows up, look out!
9. Colts - They're coming off a horrendous loss, but watch for them to bounce back.
10. ??? (May edit later)

Source - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12...-season-finale

Quote:
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended for Sunday's season finale against the Baltimore Ravens due to an unspecified violation of team rules.

Josh Gordon appeared in only five games this season. He was suspended by the Browns for Sunday's season finale and missed the first 10 games while serving a league-issued suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

The Browns announced the suspension in a release Saturday. Wide receiver Phil Bates has been promoted from the practice squad to replace Gordon on the active roster.

Both Gordon and rookie Johnny Manziel were absent from the Browns' walk-through Saturday morning, and the team had trouble locating them, a source close to the team told ESPN.com's Pat McManamon.

The Browns did not mention Manziel in their release, and it is not clear if the injured quarterback was required to attend the walk-through. Manziel suffered a hamstring injury in last week's loss to Carolina and was ruled out for the finale against Baltimore (9-6), which is battling for a playoff berth.

The suspension marks the end of a disappointing year for Gordon, who already served a 10-game ban earlier this season following a failed drug test. The 23-year-old Gordon had 24 catches for 303 yards and no touchdowns in five games this season.

Gordon led the NFL in receiving yards in 2013 with 1,646 in 14 just games. But he received a one-year suspension this past August for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy. The suspension was reduced to 10 games the following month after the league adopted a new drug policy.

That suspension could cost Gordon a lot of money. Gordon was supposed to be an unrestricted free agent after next season, but since Gordon was only active for 5 games this year he didn't appear in enough games to get an accrued season and will now be a restricted free agent after next season. If Gordon has a big season and behaves next year he could have been in line for a big payday or at least the franchise tag, but now the Browns can put a first round tender on him, which would cost a little more than $3 million. At the very least this gives the Browns leverage in contract talks.

Whoa. Can't cal I blame him. $8 mill a year is Nick Saban level money to coach college football.

Jim Harbaugh Expected to Take Michigan Job

Two members of the San Francisco 49ers staff and a third NFL source said Saturday they expect 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh to accept a six-year, $48 million contract to become the head coach of the University of Michigan.

"That's what everybody on staff believes is going to happen this week," one of the sources said. "Jim has figured out that his style is best-suited for the college game. His shtick works better with young guys who are gone after three or four years."

Browns are 6-4 without Gordon and 1-4 with him. Some of that is just a coincidence and due to Manziel being terrible, but Gordon definitely had a negative impact on Brian Hoyer. Not that Hoyer is great by any means, but I'd be interested to see what Hoyer's rating was before Gordon came back and after. Most of the picks he was throwing were Gordon's fault.

I hope Gordon can mature in the offseason and stay clean... I hate wasted talent even on other teams.

Somehow I bet he'll end up with the Pats. They still need a legit WR.

I wonder where $8mil a year stands in terms of all sports. It still might be the highest. I believe it's equal to or slightly higher than what Belichick and Payton get. But I'm not familiar with how much coaches in other sports get paid.

It would make him equal to the highest paid NFL head coach this year. Sean Payton is making $8 mill. Belichick makes $7.5 mill. I think it would put him a bit above Saban for highest paid college football coach. Though if the deal happens I'll bet Saban gets another raise from Bama. Saban is a master at using other coaches landing big deals or rumors of him leaving to keep getting himself raises.

Quote:
Foxborough, Mass. — The Buffalo Bills could be turning to a familiar face to help end a 15-year playoff drought.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Bills could hire former general manager Bill Polian as soon as Monday. The report didn't indicate a specific job title for Polian but said the Bills could try to create a job description that doesn't reset the clock on Polian's Hall of Fame candidacy. As of a few months ago, Polian said he hadn't been contacted by the Bills and that he hadn't thought about a return. He couldn't be reached for comment on Saturday.

Pro Football Talk also said general manager Doug Whaley and CEO Russ Brandon may not be safe based on the first-round whiff on EJ Manuel and the Sammy Watkins trade, which cost the team a 2015 first round pick.

It's worth noting that Polian recently praised Bills coach Doug Marrone and called him a coach of the year candidate, so if the former general manager makes a return, that could be good news for Marrone.

Polian was not only the architect of the Bills teams that went to four straight Super Bowls, but he was the general manager of the Carolina Panthers team that made it to the NFC Championship Game in only its second season in the league and drafted Peyton Manning in Indianapolis helping them to a Super Bowl.

His arrival in Buffalo would certainly be quite the splash for Terry and Kim Pegula, who have been quiet about their intentions with the team since taking over as owners in October.
Polian is very high on Marrone, so this might solidify his status for next season as our head coach. There is known friction between Doug Whaley (our GM) and Marrone, so I would be surprised to see Whaley back next season if Marrone is still there.

That would be huge for you guys. I would KILL for Polian to be our GM right now. Even at 100 years old, Polian is an upgrade over EVERYONE in our FO.

I don't really agree with that.

This is Marrone's second season, right? He's improving the team. Firing him, with or without the W against GB, would be a very Raider-esque move.

No. Marrone has been expected to be retained for several weeks now. The Pegulas recognize they have a good coaching staff. Doug Whaley has been the question mark. My biggest concern right now is losing Schwartz, it's being speculated that he is going to be interviewed by multiple teams for head coach.

Still don't know how this happens. First 3 years lead them to three straight championships and 1 Superbowl. You'd think you keep the guy who made your team better. Stupid owners. Enjoy filling that brand new stadium with people now.
