i wouldn't. yeah, they should be stacked for a solid 11-5 season (at least!) but Moss is done and should probably just retire. i found it humorous how we heard so much about him when he was in NE and then with Minny, but as soon as he went to... Tennessee... ESPN didn't report a damn thing on him or show a single highlight (good or bad) the rest of the season

he'd be a nice big target to take pressure off of Jackson (if they sign him, or maybe they have, i'm behind on things ) but still, he can only do so much at this point.

he was solid, but ungodly awful at making a catch to save his life lol or being able to hang on to the ball when it really mattered lol. his stats could have been MUCH better if he gets some damn hands

They are getting bargains. DRC is still on his rookie contract. They will basically 'cancel out' Nmamdi's contract when they dump Asante. And by waiting towards the end of free agency they got both Babin and Cullen for reasonable prices. They can easily bring Moss onboard.

Chiefs get a young ILB from the Chargers. Welcome Brandon Siler!

Very true. However, as a counterpoint, there are definitely times when they need to go out and get someone (i.e. when you lose both your NTs or when your OTs aren't very good, as is the case with the Chiefs).

rodgers would've had @ least 1 more TD and probably 50-60 addt'l yards had jones caught that ball in the super bowl!!! or was that during the playoffs??

and that's why he wasn't going to get #1 recv'r kind of money!!!

Anyone else think something's up in NY?

The Giants really haven't been all that active in free agency and they seem to be having problems keeping their own guys. Plax rejected them for the Jets. Ahmad bradshaw and Osi Umenyiora are both either trying to get out or get more money.

Plax and Tom Coughlin never got along to begin with. Osi has been trying to get a new deal or get out for a couple of years now. Ahmad Bradshaw is a running back who dont have long football careers anyways. He has to try and get his money now while he has some value.

Osi Umenyiora is a tool, Bradshaw just wants to get paid. The Giants are already a good team anyway and the way you stay a good team is not over-spending in free agency like we usually do.

If you have sunday ticket call directv to get a $$ discount on it.
Alot of people are getting up to $250 off the $335 price this year.
Someone posted this as "general rules" to follow in calling & evidently it is working rather well for alot of people:

1.) Call 1-800-DIRECTV during the day. Don’t call at night since they do have one outsourced call center and you don’t want that.
2.) When asked why you are calling at the first automated prompt, say “CANCEL SERVICE.” You’ll be asked by the automated prompt if you want to cancel some programming or your entire service, say again “CANCEL SERVICE.” All this does is direct your call to a Retention Department Customer Service Rep (CSR). You want Retention CSR’s only because they hand out credits and freebies like candy.
3.) Doing this connects you to the retention CSR. They won’t say “retention,” and likewise, you should never say anything about cancelling your service to a live person.
4.) For me, if I draw a male CSR, I usually hang up and start over since I find the female retention CSR’s are the best in terms of deals/credits. Some people find this extreme though and it’s not technically necessary.
5.) When you speak to them, be very friendly and naïve. If they offer you a great deal at some point, you should sound like you are blown away, not expecting it.
6.) Mention that you saw the deal that NFL ST is now included if you get the premier pkg and you want it. 99.99% chance they will respond that it is a new customer offer only, but if in the slight chance they let you get that, take it. It’s too good of a deal to pass up.
7.) Ask them something to the effect of “Money is tight this year, what can you do for me?” At this point they should make you an offer for NFL ST for this season. Anything from free all the way down to $10/month off for 6-12 months. If the deal offered is free or $250 one-time credit, take it and run. If not, proceed with next steps.
8.) If you get anything else that you don’t like, mention that you have some friends you know of who are getting a one-time $250 credit. This is 100% true, I have seen people’s account statements with this credit. Ideally that should get you the $250 credit or maybe something on the order of $200. You may also get other discounts or freebies that you can consider.
9.) If the deal at that point is awesome, confirm the deal with them and take it.
10.) If the deal is not that great, just tell them you need to think about what you are going to do this year for football and end the call.
11.) Start back at step 1 again if you passed on the deal from the first call. The offers will vary based on which CSR you get, what kind of mood they are in, and how much they like you, etc. Being friendly is key. Sometimes it takes several calls. Usually the best bet is try again the next day, although if it is closer to the beginning of the season, trying again in an hour or so is okay too.
12.) For future calls, you can say the same thing you have said before OR simply talk about how expensive it is, but you (or your wife) really wants it.

The Giants have given Osi Umenyiora permission to seek a trade, but reportedly want a first round pick in return. There's no way any team is giving up a first round pick for a 29-year old with a history of knee and hip problems and who wants a large new contract.

I don't know, some teams are really stupid, look at Arizona, trading a 2nd rounder and giving Kolb a huge contract who is average at best!

Arizona was desperate for a QB though because they have a very winnable division and they needed to get a QB now so Larry Fitzgerald will re-sign after this season when his contract expires (his contract states that he can't be franchised). I think they gave up too much but the Eagles were willing to keep Kolb if they didn't get a good enough offer and the Cardinals think Kolb can be a franchise quarterback.

Bengals Have money to spend give him a decent Contract and bring him over to cincy, we need a force on the defensive Line.

Reports are also high for The Bengals to pick up Donte Whitner.

Also since our young talent Mcelroy had a season ending injury, management has shown interest in Lofa tatups, But don't know if it will work as he would have to Play Outside LB.

Nate Clements coming to the bengals has already been set in stone as well.

Since you are Bengals fan, I am wondering how you feel about keeping Marvin for another year? I am suprised he lasted that long, he should been fired years ago!

Yeah i personally feel Zimmer should of been made head coach, BUT in retrospect Marvin has done Great with what little he's given. I dont think our issue is Coaching, I think our issue is Owner. We need to change the outlook of our football team so that we can use the money we have. Guys dont even want to look our way, because were known as such a terrible organization in whole!

Like We NEED a Veteran WR. Jerome Simpson is Not a #2 WR in this league. I dont understand why our owner thinks this, we need to reach out to a Legadu nanee, or Braylon as a good #2 that can teach up AJ Green.

Reggie Wayne is a perfect example of this, he came from nowhere. His skills are very Marvin Harrison Like. AJ Green needs someone like that, thats why i wasnt oblige to bringing Back Chad or terrell. They may bring drama, but especially owens can bring a teaching to AJ.

We are scramblin for LB and Safeties but we need to Bolster our line, our run stopping defense was piss poor. Zimmer has stated that in public already but our owner doesnt want to spend money. So his voice falls on deaf ears. Thast why Im hoping a 2nd or 3rd round pick and a decent 2-3 year contract will brin OSI to the BENGALS. It will help TEMENDOUSLY. Noone is scarred of Tank johnson

Dude, AJ's not going to need a teacher. He needs a QB.
