You just don't see panic in Luck, like you do with typical rookie qb's. I was insanely impressed (still don't think that would save him if he'd been our QB)

Luck is a once in a generation quarterback. Maybe even more rare than that.

New season, same story for the Bucs, whose opener against the Panthers will be blacked out. The Bucs took advantage of the new rule which allows the team to televise the game if they sell 85% of their tickets but still fell short. It is the Bucs 14th blackout in their last 16 games, and one of the two games that wasn't blacked out was last year's game against the Bears in London that was considered a Bucs home game.

No I'm comparing the situations heath was a top pick and one of the studs of the draft coming out of UT but the team sucked he got injured and sucked and poof Gus does ok and he never came back. Same thing could happen here with rg3 not being like cam newton and quite breakable (1 medium hit in preseason not even Espn worthy you could see he was hurting).


I just assume well never have any luck (no pun intended)

All that is about injury. U can never call injury but what I meant was comparing them to RGIII as far as talent goes. RGIII to me is much better coming out of college than either of those. I wasnt high on either when they came out but I am very high on RGIII. Got Em!!

Although Stevie Johnson (groin) sat out Thursday's practice, coach Chan Gailey still expects him to play versus the Jets in the opener.

Johnson was tight after Wednesday's practice, but could have participated on Thursday if needed. Gailey believes Johnson will return for Friday's practice. At less than full strength, Johnson will have trouble continuing his unique success against Darrelle Revis. Rotoworld ranks Johnson just 33rd among fantasy receivers for Week 1.

The biggest upset of week 1 already happened with an 8-8 team from last year knocking off the defending Super Bowl champions in their house.

I didn't consider that to be a huge upset. The point spread was only around 3 1/2 and the Giants weren't that great last year but got hot at the right time. The Cowboys played the Giants tough last year both times and should have beat them the first time they played, and the Cowboys look like a much better team with their defensive additions, while the Giants didn't really add anyone.

Yeah I still think Rob Ryan is under-rated but we have 4 really good linebackers, an improving defensive line, 2 tough corners(they might be tested by the extremely tall Sidney Rice) and we upgraded the SS position with Barry Church. I expect them to give Russell Wilson fits on the 16th.
