H B T C ! ! !

I know the Giants will gets their act together a little later on.

But, it was so nice to give them a wedgie, in front of all of their fans.

Rematch is Sun. afternoon Oct. 28th.

I just wish we could play San Fran again in the regular season, so we could 'beat their asses,' again.

Former Browns and Ravens owner Art Modell has Passed away at age 87

RIP Art

Quote:
The people of Baltimore will hail Art Modell as the man who brought football back to Charm City in 1996.

The people of Cleveland will remember Modell as the man who worked behind the scenes to tear their beloved team from them.

It's because of "The Move" that many have forgotten about Modell's accomplishments during his 43 seasons as sole owner of the Browns and Ravens. They should remember them now, after Modell passed Thursday at age 87.

As the league's broadcast chairman from 1962 to 1993, Modell fueled the engine that brought "Monday Night Football" into our living rooms. It's fair to remember him as a visionary for how he developed the relationship between television and football.

On the field, Modell's teams compiled 18 playoff appearances and 12 postseason wins, including Cleveland's 1964 NFL championship and Baltimore's Super Bowl XXXV victory over the New York Giants. Unlike the Ravens, the Browns haven't won a playoff game since New Year's Day 1995, with Modell staring down from the owner's box.

That Browns team included Bill Belichick as coach, Nick Saban as defensive coordinator and Ozzie Newsome in the front office. When word of the Browns' move to Baltimore leaked the following November, a shocked public was left wondering what just happened to 50 years of memories.

And that decision has overshadowed a lifetime of notable accomplishments.

Students at the Greenley, Colorado school district are banned from wearing Peyton Manning jerseys. Greeley is about 50 miles from Denver and for four years has banned jerseys or belt buckles with the numbers 13, 14, 18, 31, 41 or 81 because of gang affiliations. The ban hasn't been a problem in the past but with Manning now in Denver wearing #18 the ban has gotten more attention.

That's pretty ridiculous. At least they didn't ban the color orange.

With 2.5 sacks Wednesday night, DeMarcus Ware became the 28th player in league history to reach 100 sacks.
Ware now has 102 sacks in just 113 games. Only Hall of Famer Reggie White reached the 100-sack mark in fewer appearances. Ware is still only 30 years old, giving him a shot at Bruce Smith's record of 200 career sacks.

97.5 sacks away, as long as he can stay healthy and the rest of the defense is pretty good, I'd say he's got a shot. I wouldn't consider it an insult, D-Ware is one of the very best pass rushers of all-time. Expecting him to get some more in week 2 against that new QB in Seattle who beat out Matt Flynn.

LOL we'll see, Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne are beasts, hoping Claiborne can be one of those rookies who keeps the growing pains to a bare minimum like Tyron Smith did last year.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a better season than Luck and RGIII. He has the benefit of a really good defense, and he gets the luxury of being able to feed Lynch the ball. I think Luck and RGIII are going to have the better careers obviously, but neither has a whole lot to work with this season. (Especially Luck)

Yeah not sure why people are acting like Luck is going to be the next Peyton Manning, his presence doesn't fix the myriad of problems in Indianapolis. Griffin III(if he's as good as I think he is) gives the Redskins a huge leg up on the rest of the division since he's much younger than any of the other starting QBs.

Ben Roethlisberger's wife is pregnant and Roethlisberger said yesterday that he's going to be there for the birth of his son even if he has to miss a game. Roethlisberger has not said when his wife is due, but it is believed to be sometime this fall.

I think of the three Luck is going to be the best. Luck was the best college quarterback I have seen since Manning. That's not to say he will be as good as Peyton as a pro, but I think he's going to be a damn fine QB.

RGIII will be better than Luck. Wilson is a wildcard. I loved him last year in college but wasnt sure he would get the opportunity in the pros and now he stole the job just like that. I wouldnt be surprised if Wilson ends up being beter than Luck also but that may be stretching it a bit. RGIII is the truth though. Got Em!!

Doubt it bro, Luck just seems to get it from watching his reactions, RG3 though is the best I've felt about a QB here in a long time. But between the rest of the team sucking, Cousins looking like he can play, just seems like Heath vs. Gus all over again.

32-4 right now in my week one game almost 10k on the line

Ten years down the road, I have a hard time seeing RGIII having a better career than Luck.

I'm guessing he would have needed to go somewhere like the Pats, Steelers, exc. to have an insane career, and even then if stuck luck in that situation he'd still probably come out on top.

You just don't see panic in Luck, like you do with typical rookie qb's. I was insanely impressed (still don't think that would save him if he'd been our QB)
