I'm still not happy about the Pats game yesterday and feel like a lot of it can be put on the coaching staff and Tom Brady. Brady cost the team at least six points with two stupid plays. One of the plays was at the end of the first half when the Pats were inside the Seattle 10 yard and Brady got a stupid intentional grounding which caused a 10 second runoff that ended the half. The play was similar to the Super Bowl where Brady wasn't really under pressure and just threw it away to the middle of the field where no receiver was around. I'd put more blame on the coaching staff though. For one thing the Pats gave up on the rush way too quick. Ridley was struggling but they should have given Bolden and Woodhead more attempts to try and get a more balanced offense. In addition the defensive coaching way just terrible. On the Seahawks touchdown to pull within 6 the Pats had rookie 7th round pick Alfonzo Dennard alone on Braylon Edwards. Braylon had 5 inches on Dennard and is a far superior player and is going to win the matchup every time. If Romeo Crennel gets fired by the Chiefs the Pats need to bring him back.

On the plus side, the Pats remaining schedule is pretty favorable. They don't play a true road game for over a month and their next four games are home against the Jets, in London against the Rams, bye week, then home games against the Bills and Dolphins. If they play the way they can they should be able to win all of those before back-to-back divisional road games against the Jets and Dolphins.

Playing for the division this week. We have to be absolutely perfect if we have any chance of pulling the upset.

From all that I've read he said he'd be ready to go when he can come off the PUP list (week 7, this coming week) but they are looking at week 9 when they come off the bye week. Either way, it'll be nice to have the pass rush return, which should also help with the run defense. A healthy D-line is a happy D-line.

That's a huge loss from a leadership vantage point. He is the heart and soul of not only the defense, but the entire team. I hope he decides to come back next season, he's one of the true legends of the game and should be able to go out on his terms.

I heard the guys on the NFL network on the Texans. Saying the only really they were 5-0 is cause they played not so great games. And when playing a good game the real team was shown through. Guys on the NFL are such douches. One week they will praise someone, then the following if they have a bad game they talk crap on them.

It’s kind of true. look @ who they’ve beaten: Dolphins, Jaguars, Titans, and Jets

Same could be said of the Falcons….they’re undefeated and look @ who they’ve beaten: Chiefs, Chargers, Panthers, Redskins and Raiders.

Only quality team I’d say both have beaten was the Broncos.

I know they can only beat who’s on their schedule….but these games for both teams s/h/b wins anyway.

And where the Jets are concerned, it wasn't exactly a huge win over them, either. I really wasn't surprised the Packers beat them, and I was glad to see last year's Rodgers return last night. Hope the Packers keep it up. I've been stressed every Sunday this whole season, including pre-season.

it would be cruelly ironic if the Ravens won the SB this year with Lewis sidelined i know he would be glad for the team, but still.

it would kind of be like when Edgerrin James left the Colts - the next year they win it! of course, i'm just using the example of a player being on a team a long time, leaving / getting hurt then the team winning the big one, not saying James is / was anywhere close to Lewis' caliber.

only upside for Lewis is he already has a ring, but still.

They won't.....they're finished. The Ravens and Steelers GEEZER lineups are no longer contenders. Ray already has a ring and is a lock HOF'er.....so BOO HOO.
