Vick will likely be gone after this year. He's due $15.5 million next year (none of it guaranteed) and there is no way the Eagles pay him that. The only way Vick stays is if he takes a huge pay cut.

If Kaepernick starts the rest of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if a disgruntled Smith demanded a trade or to be released during the off-season. Philadelphia could be a potential new home.

If they stick with Kaepernick as the starter then Smith will almost certainly get traded because he's due $8.5 million next season and that's way too much for a backup. Smith has gone 20-6-1 in the last 2 seasons and took his team to the NFC championship game last year so I'd think there would be several teams interested in him.

100%... He is a great quarterback given a raw deal in my opinion, just outright brutal. Kaepernick is a tremendous pro QB (so far), and I can understand Harbaugh wanting to go with the "hot hand" as he's said in the media, but you don't do this to a guy who led you to the NFC championship game last season and was in the top 3 this year in QB rating before he got hurt.

I agree, I don't think its fair either.

What's this say to other players? Don't get hurt or tell them you're hurt, or you'll lose your job cause of it.

It’d be interesting to see how Smith does w/a team that doesn’t have a defense like the 9ers D. they played a lot bigger part in them getting the the NFC Champ. Game last season than Smith did.

He got those two TD's within the last couple minutes though. The one he ran in and the other he threw to Davis within the last few seconds.

I think their D played a bigger part on Sunday, then the offense did. If it weren't for the two INT's for tds they would have lost
