Kyle Williams and Kendall Hunter to IR, so my favourite 49er of all-time(Williams) is out for the season.

Well yeah I'm a Cowboys fan and he just cost them a shot at a Super Bowl, one they likely would've won. So yes, he's my favourite 49er of all-time.

The correct saying should be offense gets you to the play-offs but good coaching and defense will win you championships.

Colts have good coaches again, remember Jim Caldwell? He's Flacco's QB coach now. Going from a HC to a position coach says a lot. Jim Zorn went from Redskins HC to Cassel's QB coach lol

They're not doing too good either

Seattle goofs up and spends a bunch to get him (i actually thought he would sign for more after that performance) and without even starting all the damn PRE-SEASON games, they go with Wilson, a Rookie, who many say is like Brees and is too short for the position. and Wilson doesn't look to be giving up the starting spot.

this ties in perfectly with what i've been saying for years - ANYONE would look great with the offensive firepower that Rodgers has. Rodgers is probably still a very good QB, but any QB would put up great numbers. yeah, maybe not AS great, but still great. put Rodgers with the Chiefs offense, or Oakland, or Buffalo or any number of teams, his numbers would drop instantly and never be at what they are with the Packers.

again, not saying he's a bad QB, but his stats are "inflated" because of the offense around him - the QB, as shown by Flynn, is replaceable in this situation.

Same reason I think Brady is a middle-of-the-road QB.

yeah but completion %, so few INT's, and TD's all reflect the QB.

yards not so much b/c a lot of that falls on the recv'r but having a high completion % and QBR is all on the QB.

Rodgers is a smart QB, his head is his biggest asset aside from his arm.

No man Brady makes his players. Brady is just literally in the perfect system. If Brady was a product of his receivers he wouldn't have had success with 3-4 different WR/TE

Welker
Gronk
Branch
Moss

If Moss was a god, Raiders wouldn't have traded him, Alex Smith would have went to him more. Put him with Brady he was a god.

Welker perfect example without Brady he sucked, his lines with Cassel were ok but not great. Put him with Brady hes a God.

Deon Branch, out in Seattle he was ok, put him with Brady Superbowl MVP

And Grok well hes Gronk

I for one wholeheartedly agree with you. All my Packer fan friends say Rodgers is already looking to be the best qb ever, in reality he's just a lucky guy in a very fortunate situation.

Same situation with Matt Cassel and the Patriots. He starts for one year, is AMAZING, then goes to KC and craps out. NE and GB are just built to be offensive juggernauts. They think if they score enough points it will mask their lacks of defense. (Though they seem to be working on it in both places now)

EDIT: To be fair, I'm not saying Rodgers or Brady are garbage qb's, just that their situations make them look even better than they are.

you guys can say all you want about Rodgers being lucky....look @ what he was able to do w/so many guys in IR when they won the super bowl a couple years ago.

he put the offense on his shoulders and basically carried them through the playoffs that year!!

As far as Rodgers being the best QB ever…..no, but he is a better overall player than Favre was!! I will commit to that statement.

He doesn’t make the dumb mistakes that were constants w/Favre. He doesn’t force things just b/c he thinks he can.

In the long run, Rodgers will finish w/more Super Bowls than Favre did, and if he plays long enough, challenge some of the records Favre holds as well. But looking @ our O-line….that may be a hard one to swallow!!

I was watching something on the NFL channel last night. It was a top ten gun slingers and Brett Favre was number one. Probably just me, but I think Favre has to be one of the most overrated QB's. They said something about him having over 400 career TDs and aswell as over 300 career INTS.
