He's #1 in that category because he took a lot of chances and he also suffered the bitter consequences doing that. He has all those records because he stayed healthy and their team was pretty consistent during the 90's. IMO, the year he played with the Vikings a few years back was his best season during his career.

He's one of the best do it, but by no means he was the best QB ever. Not sure if any QB today would finish out with over 300 career INTs.

That's why Rodgers has to be such a breath of fresh air for you guys. Has better accuracy and is the best QB in the game, doesn't make the dumb mistake. Too bad the rest of the team around him isn't as good as it was in 2010, not to mention the NFC is the stronger conference right now. Giants are looking like the team to beat again, unfortunately. :/

They even said stuff like that. He tried throwing it in there where it wasn't wanted. They said he was a No.... Yes type guy. Meaning it looked like he was gonna make a bad play, but turned it into a good one. But alot of the time that didn't work out in the end.

As far as Rodgers being the best QB ever…..no, but he is a better overall player than Favre was!! I will commit to that statement.

He doesn’t make the dumb mistakes that were constants w/Favre. He doesn’t force things just b/c he thinks he can.

In the long run, Rodgers will finish w/more Super Bowls than Favre did, and if he plays long enough, challenge some of the records Favre holds as well. But looking @ our O-line….that may be a hard one to swallow!!
the injuries were on defense, not offense. he still had Jennings, Driver, that white bald guy, Captain Fumblefingers (Jones), and others.

and while Rodgers doesn't force things, he has the opposite negative, he holds on to the ball too long. that was an issue his first year as starter which very much so came from watching Favre throw picks. but he doesn't run that much now so he takes more hits / sacks than is necessary. when was the last time Rodgers deliberately threw a ball away? he doesn't! he either waits and waits and waits to throw it or takes a sack, like he doesn't want a waste throw for his precious records.

as for the O-Line, what QB holds the record for most sacks? Rodgers may begin to climb the ladder to that record

and Al Harris getting burned for 5725273 yards and McCarthy not changing anything on defense to help Harris sure had nothing to do with it.

everyone remembers the last thing of most games - yeah, Favre made a bad throw, but change the defense up and the game should have never gone to OT.

same thing with the Vikings vs the Saints. Peterson, god love him, fumbles 14 g*ddamn times in that game, but of course no one remembers that, they just remember Favre's pick. don't remember the blown call on the high / low hit where the refs swallowed their whistles and then the next day said was a blown call (that would have continued the drive mind you) just remember the very last play with the pick.

Favre was never the best QB "of all time" but he sure as hell was the most exciting to watch. every pass he throw i would cringe because god knows what he thought he saw, but it was exciting and he's certainly the toughest football to play the game. he is one of the few that you can say he is one of a kind, no one can match what he did or with the strength and charisma that he had

he throws the ball away when he’s out of the pocket. When he can’t get out of the pocket b/c it’s collapsing, obviously he’s not gonna just throw it away b/c it would be grounding.

Unfortunately, that is a real possibility!! Saturday hasn’t had quite the effect I was hoping for and our LT spot is just atrocious!!!

The bottom line is, Favre took way to many risks….and risks that would’ve never paid off. if he had been able to control himself once in a while, he may have won more than just the 1 super bowl.

And it’s never a good thing to when you see your QB winding up to let one go. w/Favre, u never knew if it was going to be a good or bad decision until it was over. w/Rodgers, the majority of the time you can count on it being a good choice.

I dont think favre is overrated.

When they talk about top 10 qbs of all time alot have him in that 6-10 group i think thats a fair ranking.

Well, sadly nice knowing you Alex. Guess Loyalty doesn't mean squat. And if you get hurt for one week, tough shit you're out of luck. That's basically what its saying to every player who gets hurt or doesn't wanna say they're hurt. Disappointed I gotta say.

Giants the team to beat? I guess it depends on when you watch them. I've never seen a more bi-polar team.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Alex Smith. He's going to start another game or two or come in and bail out the team if Kaep gets hurt.

But I agree, as a 49er fan and Alex Smith fan it sucks he doesn't get to ride out this year but it's hard not to trust whatever Harbaugh does at this point

so true, they look worthless against the Bengals and then they dominate the Packers

they're just as inconsistent as the Cowboys but their highs are really high (super bowls ) and their lows are pretty low

Next week is gonna be a tough game against the Patriots and Tom Brady or the next after I forgot. almost seems like they will go with Kaep until he makes a mistake. But that one mistake could be too late into the playoffs and cost us dearly

You gotta wondering what he's thinking or feeling at this point..
