Jack Tatum was one of the most vicious hitters in NFL history, his nickname was the Assassin and he took pride in trying to break bones every time he hit somebody. He put at least one player in a wheelchair. Suh is dirty but Tatum was on a level of his own when it comes to dirtiness.

Cowboys, Redskins, and Vikings could get the 2nd wild card if the Bears keep keeling over

I can't see the Seahawks not getting one at this point

Hell if things go the Seahawks way the rest of the year they could win the division.

RG3 better be ok because in spite of what happened I don't think Cousins is ready to lead this team.

I say this because on the TD pass to Garcon, Cousins eyes never left Garcon. He was the first and only option, and the Redskins are lucky he got open, because Cousins seriously didn't even glance at any other receiver the entire time.

To quote one of our beat reporters "everyday when we have media day guys are bouncing balls doing the stuff guys do in free time there are multiple couches and everyday cousins sits by himself and reads play books" I'm not worried about him although I do think the rookie mistakes will be amplified if he's got to play... Had it been Rex or god forbid we still had Beck I'd say it would be a loss for sure but with Cousins 50-50... I'm picking the browns even if RG3 is healthy I'm an abused fan.

Seriously how can you guys still be on Suh for anything at this point in time. Hate to break it to you but go back and look at his fines and suspensions over time, half of them were not worth merit. Stompgate on Thanksgiving yeah I admit was dirty, The kick to the nuts well its hard to say if it was intentional or not. Most likely it was not and it was just one of those weird angles and coincidences.

The problem with the NFL now is they are taking away the soul of the game. Lets be real if Goodell succeeds in removing kickoffs/punts and just drops the ball on the 30 its not football anymore.

I can think back when DB were actually able to make contact with receivers and we had some nice battles on the outside. Neon Deion vs Rice anyone? I can also think back to when DE and LB were actually able to make hits on people, Reggie White, LT, Mean Joe Greene, Ronnie Lott, Dick Butkus anyone?

here i thought Suh was dirty.....Nick Fairly is giving him a run for his money!!! that hit on Rodgers last night when he choke slammed him into the ground was just ridiculous!!!

and then in their last meeting when he made like he was gonna suplex Rodgers over his head and then “showed great restraint” according to the commentators to control himself and not do it.

@ this point, i hate Fairly more than Suh!!

Reading the playbook is one thing.

What makes RG3 and similar players great is the ability to improvise when the playbook play breaks down.

On the play in question if the play had broken down Cousins would have been utterly helpless.

Don't get me wrong, I believe Cousins will be good. I just don't think he's ready yet, and I hope Washington does well purely based on how much I like RG3.

it's not hard hits i have a problem with....it's the dirty ass hits!!!

there was no reason for Fairly to even think about taking Rodgers over his head in that 1st game!!!

and the choke slam last night was one he got away with!!!

it's one thing to play hard and with attitude...it's something completely different that the Lions are doing.

Never saw suh in college, but I did see fairly. Hate them both. From the same cloth. It's not about playing the game, but breaking your opponent. Back in the day, they would have fit in and had been repayed for there agression.

Well I didn't see the Fairly hit so I cannot comment on that. Right now the Lions are getting far to much attention, I mean for god sakes Cutler had to come out in the Lions last game against the Bears and say when Suh sacked me it was a good hit there was nothing wrong with it just for that question to go away.

It seems any time the Lions play all ppl do is ***** about the hits, there are equally as dirty hits around the league that don't get called or get as much attention. Because it is Detroit tho on a nationally televised game OMG OMG OMG its DIRTY.

It is football, it is a violent game that sometimes emotions get the best of the players it happens. A good coach and a good team can control it, the Lions are a young team just starting to learn some semblance success and unfortunately they really do not know how to control it. You can sit here and complain that Rodgers, or Schaub, Cutler any QB etc. is being manhandled by the Lions, but keep in mind the Lions have nothing on the Steelers/Raiders of the 70's/80's.

Dan Patrick said this morning on his radio show that change could be coming to John Harbaugh's staff in Baltimore. Dan Patrick doesn't throw out rumors, when he says something he's getting his information from a very reliable source. From Pro Football Talk:

Quote:
Immediate speculation will center on offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. But the failure of the defense to hold a lead could get defensive coordinator Dean Pees in hot water. (Or, at a minimum, 98.6-degree liquid.) And special-teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg could be feeling a little nervous this morning after his punt team allowed the Redskins to get in position to score the game-winning field goal.

The Lions brought it on themselves the past couple of seasons playing like that and Schwartz not doing anything to curb it.

It’s almost as if he wanted them to be known as the new “edgy” team not to mess with.

Now they just look like a bunch of thugs.
