I would like to say, Dez and Romo have proven me wrong lately and I hope they continue to do so. Also, I like Rob quite a bit and I hope he proves me right where he's concerned since we need his defense to step up huge to make the post-season. Oh and it would be nice if the guy that was supposedly the best defensive player in this draft helped stop Pierre Garcon this time around.

Former Steelers/Dolphins/Cardinals linebacker Joey Porter was arrested Friday night on a felony check-writing charge for writing a check with insignificant funds. Porter was in the NFL until 2011 so if he is broke already that's incredibly fast even by pro athlete standards. I couldn't find a figure listing how much money he made but looking at his contracts I figure he made somewhere around $50 million in his career.

So if I write a check for more than I have in my account it's a felony? I always thought that was juat a fine or something.

Michael Vick is going to start the Iggles' season finale as they sit Nick Foles due to a hairline fracture in his hand, so Reid and Vick are going to go out together with a whimper.

Probably depends on how much the check was delinquent for and whether he has a history of drawing bad checks.

That's what I thought too because my sister-in-law once wrote a check to get some groceries with a little under what the amount was and all she did was pay a return check fee of $30.

maybe he's just got money in different accounts, I've got money all over the place linked to my primary checking and that has gotten real low if I forget to wire in cash.

i don't want to assume what he did, but i will assume he wrote a check for more than $30 for groceries. maybe he's written a lot of them over the last few weeks. who knows? (yet)

but i figure it was for a significant amount.

Better yet why are people still writing checks in this day in age. Aren't those things relegated to museums like public pay phones? The last check I wrote was probably 4 years ago or more. There's this thing called a debit card these days and this invention called the internet for paying bills.

The who beat who of current 1-6 seed playoff teams:

AFC

1. Texans Win over Broncos/Ravens/Colts
2. Broncos Win over Bengals/Ravens
3. Pats Win over Texans/Broncos/Colts
4. Ravens Win over Pats/Bengals
5. Colts Win over Vikings/Packers
6. Bengals Win over Redskins

NFC

1. Falcons Win over Broncos/Redskins/
2. Packers Win over Texans/Vikings
3. 49ers Win over Pats/Packers/Seahawks
4. Redskins Win over Ravens/Vikings
5. Seahawks Win over Pats/49ers/Packers/Vikings
6. Vikings Win over 49ers/Texans

May have missed one somewhere

Texans don't look anything like a #1 seed these past few weeks

Seahawks with the most wins vs playoff teams and they look pretty dominant right now

#6 seed Bengals most likely to be one and done, same with Vikings if they get in

so true! only people i see write checks are little old ladies.

so, maybe because he was trying to write a check, that was where the suspicion started and how he got busted

As a Ravens fan, I'm glad they don't have to play the Seahawks till the Super Bowl. They rolling hard right now.

As a defensively minded fan, GO SEAHAWKS!!! (in the NFC)
