And yet the Jets had multiple chances when they were already a losing to start tebow and see what they had... They wouldn't even do that for a qb with a winning record. I wouldn't run the wildcat for that fat A* either.

Honestly we don't know who told him what. What we can see with our own eyes that the other QB's on the roster where awful, so by default he should gotten at least one start. Thats all I wanted to see was it him last year our was it just luck.

Exactly his record last year deserved him at LEAST a start.

Taking a 1-4 team to the playoffs and winning a playoff game deserves a chance to start somewhere. You gotta see if he can improve.

There's tons of QB's that have done jack squat and are still starting, guys like Jake Locker, Matt Cassel, Christian Ponder, and Gabbert etc.

Those guys can at least complete 50% of their passes. Tebow can't throw the football in the NFL. Yep, they do give Heisman awards to guys who suck in the NFL. Troy Smith, Jason White, Chris Weinke, Eric Crouch, Ron Dayne, Danny Wuerffel, Gino Torretta, Charlie Ward, Andre Ware and Ty Detmer say hi. There's little correlation between being a Heisman winner and a good NFL player.

Still good enough to win a award. Some people are good college players, but don't equal to good NFL players. Still good though none the less though.

Personally I think this viewpoint is crap. Not trying to stir shit up, but I've listened to Justin Termine, Scott Wetzel, Dino Costa, etc. make this same point. Personally, I think it's a horrible argument to make. Just because other teams have such shitty QB situations doesn't mean he deserves to start. Since other team's clearly have issues, he should automatically be granted a chance to start. Sorry that doesn't fly with me. If the coach doesn't think you should start, then you don't deserve to start. Plain and simple. Contrary to what most believe, the Broncos won in spite of Tebow not because of him. He won himself some games and that should be commended like the Steelers game, but look at the Lions, Patriots, and Jets games last year. Tebow got blasted in the first two games, and he barely squeaked out a victory at the end against the Jets because we had the absolutely wrong play called (Cover 0 was just insane to run at that point). We beat him down for 59 minutes and then he won in the last minute. It is what it is. They won that game in spite of Tebow not because of him.

All this sounds great and flowery and amazing, but how about he go to any 1 of your franchises and try there. I wanted no part of this guy from day 1, and I felt that he was brought in for pure publicity reasons, so Woody could compete for the back pages with the newly crowned Super Bowl Champion NY Giants. I've never envisioned him as a starting NFL QB. No reason he should have started over Sanchez at the start of the season seeing as how he had 4 road playoff victories to Tebow's 1 home playoff victory. Maybe there was an argument to made when Sanchez completely bombed this year. But in reality I didn't want him to start and produce wins where we would squeak by and make the playoffs based off an extremely favorable schedule down the end, and thereafter, we would get blasted by the Patriots or an actually playoff caliber team.

The media would have been exalting this guy because he took a poor team to the playoffs. The fans would then jump on his bandwagon and I would be stuck with this guy for the next year as the starting QB for my team. So send his ass to Jax and have Macruz and the good people in Jax deal with this media circus. I surely don't want this guy on my team.

Yes, he was an NBA player. But that had more to do with the fact that he would have been a 3rd round pick or later had he entered the NFL draft. The guy clearly wasn't considered a legit NFL prospect.

Just watch. If Jacksonville signs Tebow he'll end up wasting away on the bench just like he did in NY. He'll just be a freak show signing to try to drum up fan support for the Jags. There's a reason a few team owners want him but no coaches or GM's do. It's because he provides nothing on the field but draws more attention to the franchise he's with.

They also didn't have the drop squad that is the Broncos WRs. Even now I believe they have 3 WRs in the top 15 for most drops.

If your team was in the position of the Jets, would you want Tebow to start and possibly beat the Bills which would get you a worse schedule next year, a worse draft pick, and fan support for a player who doesn't deserve to start? Yes! When your franchise is in disarray why not put someone in who could have a big upside? Honestly he probably wouldn't have ever become a great qb, but nobody will no for sure if he doesn't play. Or maybe he has the worst qb stats ever and continues to find ways to win you just don't know.

What positives would have been gained if he blasted Tebow to the media? Public defiance of the owner who is his boss? Diminished trust with the players because he publicly derided a player to the media? What was Rex supposed to do? I don't understand what the uproar is with this guy. Good God. If it was any other player, it wouldn't get a tenth of the publicity this is getting now. If this was T.O., Ochocinco, or Braylon Edwards this would have been a moot point a long time ago.

Good luck with Sanchize Jr. in Matt Barkley or Tyler Brey. I'm glad they didn't listen to me when I had that attitude during the Sanchez draft.
