But Smith does. Beating you guys earlier this year and pulling out that hell of a win against the Saints last playoffs. But you're right Kaepernick doesn't have experience I'll grant you that.

@ this point....u can throw that 1st game out the window!!! that was so long ago and these teams are so different now.

just think about this......our Def. was holding it's own w/2 of our biggest players out here @ the end of the season.

now Matthews is back @ full strength and Woodson is leading the entire Def. again.

i can totally see Woodson baiting Kapernick into throwing an INT or 2. and then Harbaugh can bring in Smith and throw the entire team off w/that big of a change in the middle of a playoff game!!

look @ how our Def. held Peterson in check last week. you don't think they could do it again w/Gore??

and all they'd have to do is put a spy on Kapernick and that would eliminate his running.

ESPN has fired Rob Parker. From the link:

“Rob Parker’s contract expired at year end. Evaluating our needs and his work, including his recent RGIII comments, we decided not to renew,” an ESPN spokesman said in a written statement.

On December 20 they announced Parker had been suspended for 30 days so it's odd they would then choose to not renew his contract. The link speculates that a recent interview Parker gave in which he said ESPN producers knew beforehand what he was going to say may have been the reason for the firing.

ESPN fires Rob Parker

Commentator Rob Parker, whose comments on Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III caused a national uproar, has been fired by ESPN.

ESPN announced Tuesday that Parker's contract, which expired at the end of last month, would not be renewed.

"Evaluating our needs and his work, including his recent RG III comments, we decided not to renew his deal," an ESPN spokesperson said in a statement.

Parker had originally received a 30-day suspension for questioning Griffin's "blackness" on the ESPN show First Take.

Griffin has a white finace and is rumored to be Republican. Parker said: "Is he a brother or a cornball brother?"

Parker later issued an apology.

Parker currently works as a part-time sportscaster for Channel 4 in Detroit.
