I don't remember exactly who did it or whose sack move was mocked but awhile back a QB got sacked and the entire teams' defensive line on the field got up and did a sack dance by a guy on the other team.

I'd wait and see how he performs with a new team. Really good QB's have a way of proving themselves even with a lot of turnover in the coaching staff. Alex Smith's emergence under Harbaugh as a solid QB might have more to do with Harbaugh's system than anything else. We really won't know until he plays someplace else.

What I'm worried if it's just one good season. Or Half season should I say. Seeing how he only played the later half of the season.

Which Smith never did either. It's not like they replaced Montana or Young. They replaced a guy who if he'd been drafted by any other team would be bagging groceries today. How the 49ers gave him 5 years to figure out the position is beyond me.

My problem with Smith is he's basically a bus driver that never makes the big mistake, I don't think he deserved his draft status or to start as long as he did. I do wonder where he'll be next year, could even be Dallas.

There's no chance of that. Kaepernick has always had an excellent work ethic to go along with his talent on the field going back to his college days. He and JaMarcus Russell shouldn't ever be in the same sentence.

I don't have a problem with Smith. I just think it's funny all the people that treat him like he was a superstar. After 80 games (75 starts), he's averaging less than 200 yards/game. He's had 2 more 300-yard games than TIM TEBOW (who somehow has 1).
