Why would you Pro Bowl is a joke hell even the players think so. Look at Arian Fosters comments from Friday before the game. he flat out said ppl wouldn't play at 100% so that right there told me why the hell would I bother watching the game.

Cowboys player Jay Ratliff had a .16 BAC at the time of his car crash, double the legal limit.

Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Jay Ratliff's blood alcohol content was 0.16 percent -- twice the legal limit -- after his arrest for driving while intoxicated last week, blood test results revealed, according to Grapevine, Texas, police.

Ratliff was arrested in the early morning hours of Jan. 22 after his 2011 Ford pickup truck sideswiped an 18-wheeler and slammed into a median protector on State Highway 114. There were no injuries as a result of the crash, which caused major damage to the driver's side of Ratliff's truck.

The police report states that Ratliff, a four-time Pro Bowler and team captain, failed three field sobriety tests at the scene and refused to provide a breath specimen. A search warrant was issued for a blood sample at 2:55 a.m., almost two and a half hours after the police arrived at the scene of the accident.

Ratliff's arrest came less than two months after his backup, Josh Brent, was charged with intoxication manslaughter after a wreck that killed outside linebacker Jerry Brown, who was on the Cowboys' practice squad.

Yes, you read that title correctly. Former Mississippi State star and NFL cornerback Fred Smoot urinated on himself after being arrested for a DUI.

Smoot, who spent nine years in the league with the Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings, was arrested on Dec. 30 in Washington, D.C.

According to tireball.com, it was when Smoot arrived at the police station that he apparently was drunk/scared enough to pee himself:

“During processing, in the service area, while handcuffed, the [defendant] peed his pants creating a puddle on the floor,” officer Seth Carll said in an affidavit. “[A police officer] witnessed the urine running down his pant leg and onto the floor. [Smoot] did not express that he had to use the restroom.”
Getting arrested for a DUI is bad enough, peeing on yourself is just plain embarrassing.

Smoot pled not guilty to the charges and will face a court date on Feb. 19.

this is a country that has watched about 545 seasons of American Idol with viewership in the millions. it's sadly one of those things where, no matter how bad, will continue to be on until it literally eats itself alive.

god do i hope that happens soon. Pro Bowl is such a joke. if i was a player and got "voted" in, i'd definitely fake an injury so i didn't have to attend. or just say they aren't playing like Favre always did

I just can't believe this guy was that stupid and dumb to do that especially off of what just happened to his teammates. He probably won't get cut or anything but man what an idiot for this.

That's what Tom Brady does every year. I believe the last time Brady actually played in the Pro Bowl was 2005. He just always makes up an injury. A lot of the players enjoy the free trip to Hawaii though, especially the younger guys that don't have a huge contract yet. The teams only practice for a couple hours during the week and get a ton of time to just hang out.

Odd story here about Kwame Harris, the 26th pick in the 2003 draft who played 5 seasons for the 49ers and 1 season with the Raiders:

According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, former 49ers tackle Kwame Harris has been charged with assaulting “his former boyfriend at a Menlo Park restaurant during an argument over soy sauce and underwear.”

The alleged victim, Dimitri Geier, also has filed a civil lawsuit against Harris for assault, battery, false imprisonment, negligence, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Geier claims that Harris became upset when Geier “poured soy sauce on a plate of rice,” and that Harris later “pull[ed] the other man’s pants down and accused him of stealing his underwear.”Attorney Alin Cintean says that Harris did nothing wrong.

I've said it before. They can televise NFL random drug testing and millions would watch it. Anything stamped with NFL is TV gold. The All Pro game is like flag football and look at the viewership.

How do the combines do? Maybe they're hurt by the odd hours and the fact that TWC and Cablevision didn't carry it until recently.

Yeah + NFLN is an obscure channel. I bet if it was on ESPN and they were pumping commercials about the up coming coverage it would do even better.

As more people get NFLN I won't be shocked if it gets to a million viewers in a year or two which if you think about it big dudes in tights standing around and doing random drills

About 6.5 million viewers watched the 2012 NFL combine and 25 million watched the 1st round of the draft. Like I said, anything and everything NFL is golden.
