But glad Garrard gets another opportunity in the NFL.
Hah, Brunell is 42 now. Funny thing about Brunell was that he won both a NCAA football national championship (Washington Huskies) and Super Bowl (New Orleans) as a backup QB. He did have a solid career as an NFL starter too.

I wonder how much that is going to hurt Ellerbe's chances of being back in Baltimore next season? He'd look great in a Bills uniform.

Flacco is being dumb but I guess 1 ring is enough for him, at least for now. Ravens are dumb too, I still don't even consider Flacco a top 10 QB in the league so to me he's grossly overpaid. Betting it's going to be Drew Brees' contract with a little bit more annually and about $5-10 million more guaranteed.

Astounding for a guy who isn't top-tier. High 2nd-tier, but he has no business being among the top-5, let alone #1 paid QB.

Winning a QB and being named MVP will do that. Or atleast to them they think it is.

I think an ESPN commenter nailed it.

damn I'm good at predicting salaries

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Flacco's deal is worth in excess of $120 million over six seasons, will make him the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history. Flacco earned $6.76 million in base salary in 2012, the final season of a rookie contract that paid out $23,805,590 over the last five seasons.

Aaron Rodgers is probably calling Joe Flacco right now to give him a verbal high-five since his contract will be even more.

Yeah, but you also wouldn't have made him the highest paid....

6 years. $120.6 million.

You'd think he would find it within himself to sign a modest contract for the benefit of the team. Instead he was selfish and hurts the team in the long run.

Hopefully it costs the Ravens when it comes to their O-line and Flacco is on his back or making hurried throws constantly.

Yeah this thing just reeks of greed and the Ravens bought in. No one is saying he shouldn't get paid, he should get paid what he's worth.

Right now the $ says he's the best player to ever play the game
