You'll grow to hate Spikes. He is a 2-down linebacker who is good against the run but that can't defend against the pass. He gets torched by running backs and tight ends every game. His coverage skills never improved during his time with the Patriots.

We won't be using him as a three down linebacker. He'll surely see some passing scenarios, but for obvious passing downs he will be watching from the sidelines. We made that very clear with him when we signed him. He is there for one purpose, and that is to clog the running lanes.

And he was here for one purpose with the pats as well. Exactly what you wrote. Sometimes he got stuck out there on passing downs..injuries he had to take over for ect.

Only 2 down just who if you see stuck in PC vs say a TE...cover your eyes. I did

I was pretty upset we didn't go after Spikes at all. We need a great run stuffing LB. We have plenty of speed and talent to get it done in pass coverage, so I would've been fine with him being a 2 down LB. When I saw the one year deal I was pissed. 1 year/$3.25mil? That's it?! We could've done that so easily.

Very excited about Woodyard and Phillips though. I'm finally seeing some leadership on defense alongside Pollard. Our team is headed in the right direction. May 8 can't come soon enough. Last day of the semester and draft night.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for a possible sexual assault at a hotel in Miami, Florida ... law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports.
We're told the alleged incident took place at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami earlier this month.

Our sources tell us ... the investigation is in its "beginning stages" and no charges have been filed against anyone at this point.

They talked for a while and she mixed some drinks for all of them and gave them shots. Advised that they told her that in order to drink the shots she had to "hit" the bong which contained marijuana.

But who knows. All those players could be scumbags, so who knows. But again women are just as bad sometimes. So I say it's 50/50 at the moment.

I mean think about it most of these kids were STUDS from the start... They were told from pee-wee they were the best and greatest then that perpetuated at school, college they got passes while everyone was working hard... Now comes time to be in the real world and they get told no they lose it because they've never had to deal with that. Kid I know around here who was on UVA lax had it all and killed his GF (you can find stories about it all over) because he just couldn't handle NO. He'd gotten his way forever and even a few months from graduating with the entire world at his feet just couldn't let it go..

These are societal problems that only get inflamed with wealth, star power, etc. and aren't limited to those that were born with nothing..

I'll wait till all the evidence comes out but this isn't good.

The percentage of NFL players that have records is very, very low.

TMZ are the ones who said sexual assault. Nowhere did the police or the women say that. The report says nothing about her wanting to file charges either.

When someone says they got nude in front of one of them, he left the room, 2 others looked in, and then the next thing she knows she wakes up in a hospital and doesn't remember anything, of course they're investigating sexual assault.
