I hate to tell you this, but Eli is already very close to the HOF. Another Super Bowl would be the clincher. He's a Manning, that's a huge benefit to him.

Why go for it on 4th down when there's almost a whole quarter yet and only down by 7. And there offense hasn't done much the last couple drives.

"Joe Namath is in the Professional Football Hall of Fame. I've always heard that if you can't tell the story of the NFL without talking about _____, then that player should be in the Hall. Though I'm not old enough to have watched Namath play, it sounds like he meets this criteria based in the above.

Namath at least had the one thing about being the first to 4000 yards in a season.

What does Eli have? Eli may be a top 10 QB in the league today, but if he was put into the HOF after only 8 seasons of highly overrated play, he'd be one of the worst players in the Hall.

And I always hate that some people's entrance criteria to a hall is "better than the worst player already in there".

Eli doesn't need a Canton bust to be remembered as a quality quarterback. He's been productive, slayed some tough opponents and has been worthy of being picked first overall. At this rate, he will become the greatest Giants QB of alltime.

Right now he's looking to defeat another historically great juggernaut of a team.
