Hence the Phil Simms post. Simms won a super bowl for the Giants on 22-25 passing where two of those incompletions were drops. He's never going to be in the hall so unless Eli wins another super bowl or gets at least three more non alternate pro bowl nods, he's not getting in either.

Like you couldn't see that happening. The 49ers haven't converted a 3rd down all day...so what to do? Run up the middle on 2nd and 10 for a whopping 3 yards. Great plan.

It was an awfully quick whistle, and that's the luck. If they don't blow the whistle so fast, the fact that it was forward progress wouldn't matter, it would have been a fumble.
