Well maybe just the best front 7, that secondary is a bit iffy.
Actually, most Ravens fans defend Flacco and are happy to have him. It's the national media and other teams fans who have issues with him. The fans stand by him because he is clearly the best quarterback in Ravens franchise history and lets be honest here, who are we going to replace him with? Plenty of teams would be happy to have Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback. Throwing him away and searching for a new quarterback would be a poor choice and a waste of the current roster. This is a Super Bowl caliber roster. 4 straight years with at least 1 playoff win and 2 title game appearances.

Also, every defense WILL be a year older, including the Dallas defense, which is currently older than Baltimores.

I want the Law Firm to be my lawyer, not only has he never lost a fumble, he's never even fumbled before, not even once.

He'd probably never lose a case

He fumbled thrice in NCAA I believe. Besides it's always when they say things like that that a player gets jinxed and fumbles. With the Giants' hard-hitting front seven I wouldn't be surprised at all if he puts it on the ground in the Super Bowl.

Defense still wins championships, none of the teams had a great outing offensively. Even the Patriots defense stepped up and made the plays needed to win.

Brady was carrying the team the whole season and an off day by him would result in a loss, but today the defense finally backed him up.

The Giants have the best front four on defense imo, XLVI is gonna be a good game

And can somebody cover Cruz, I swear he caught like 8 straight passes in a row or something vs the 49ers.

Some tidings:

-Ray Lewis has stated he will be back for next season 100% sure. (barring unforeseen events)

-Cam Cameron NEEDS TO (not should) be fired.

-The Ravens need to draft more defense and OL.

-They also need to have Tyrod Taylor (OR ANYONE) start taking first team reps in practice half the time. If not to replace Flacco, but to light a damn fire under his @**. He plays like he'll never be replaced because no one has put the fear into him.

-Sergio Kindle needs to be on the field ready to play at the beginning of training camp or be cut. This guy is always injured, or out for some reason and I'm starting to hate that he got drafted.

Yikes I wouldn't want Taylor lol... Kindle was worth the shot at where he fell too. He was allot like McIntosh for the Redskins where he had such a poor health history he fell out of the first round. I agree if he can't get on the field by sometime next year he needs to go.

Looking at the 2010 draft there were allot of good LB's I'd have taken over him though I thought he went lower

I'm just sick of seeing people get drafted only to never be used. We have holes, draft people that can at least plug in for awhile. I mean I under stand 6th and 7th rounders are big gambles, but Kindle was a second and Taylor was 6th, but if you have no intention of using him as a QB why draft him? Could've been a center or gaurd, or tackle or ANYONE that could actually be useful on the field.

I feel the same way, but look at the pats they have a HUGE turnover for picks, they might draft 13 people and have 3 make the team.

Eli didn't play average. He sucked.

If you want to declare victory because Eli's sucking is slightly better than Smith's sucking, feel free.

It's useless arguing with him.

And Sleeper, believe me you don't want Taylor in there passing the ball. He would be alright for a few wildcat type plays here and there, but Flacco is a much better passer than Taylor.

Sheesh... I thought that ridiculous phrase was relegated to the NBA forums. Lets not import it to the NFL forum please. It's the most meaningless phrase going today. It says nothing about nothing. Almost as bad as "I know you are but what am I."

Man is Steven Tyler getting HAMMERED for his juiced up national anthem yesterday. What did the NFL expect when they offered him the gig?

I wasn't paying too much attention when he was singing but from what I did catch it sounded fine to me. I've certainly heard far worse and the Patriots crowd seemed to like it.

I thought it was fine too, but from what I'm reading people in the news/radio do not agree.

Ok, now that I googled it apparently he did get a few lines of it wrong. Guess I wasn't paying enough attention to notice when he was singing it.

it was a lot better than most of the ones that are done....and he didn't butcher anything major while singing it....yeah he messed up a word or 2 but he didn't forget whole sections or put it in a different order.

and it was classic steven tyler w/the yelling and screeching....and even that was kept to a minimum.

I didn't understand why a lot of the crowd booed Drew Bledsoe when they announced his name at the trophy presentation. Bledsoe was classy during his entire tenure with the Patriots and led the team to one Super Bowl as a starting quarterback and filled in for an injured Brady in the 2001 AFC Championship Game to take them to another Super Bowl. He stayed relatively quiet when he lost his job while he was injured when a lot of people would have made a distraction. I may be biased because Bledsoe was my favorite athlete from 1993-2001 and was one of the main reasons I became a Patriots fan, but I thought he deserved a better reception, particularly in such a joyous moment.

Did anyone know Joe Paterno was offered the Steelers job in 1969 and turned it down? I had never heard it before but they talked about it on the radio today. It was only after Paterno turned down the Rooney's offer that the team offered Chuck Noll the job. Had Paterno taken it he might have been a 4x Super Bowl champ instead of Noll.
