The only studio I've seen use this style is Fox. Before the stacked disc cases most studios used viva elite 3-disc with a double sided tray and a third disc hub in back.

I kinda like the ones Fox has been using though, and would be interested in knowing this as well....

I know we had a discussion about them a little while back, but I finally broke down and just went cheap and ordered 3-disc Vortex cases from Casetopia.

It's getting to the point where they are getting almost impossible to come by. If you want actual 3-disc Vortex cases, don't order them from Casetopia. What I ended up getting are Amaray cases, and some of the covers don't really fit right in them (Sony's seem fine, but Disney's don't really fit right).

Just figured I'd give everyone a heads up.

I'm trying to find some 4 disc cases that will fit into slip covers in the U.S. (Batman 4 film collection, Lethal Weapon 4 film collection...etc.) as these movie sets are "stacked" into 2 disc blu ray trays. Trying to avoid scratches, but I'm also on a budget. Thanks in advance for any advise.

I put my Lethal Weapon Collection in a black 5-disc case I got from the Canadian Jason Statham Collection. It looks great. The Wolverine 3D is a black 4-disc but a lot of the ones I buy have brittleness issues.

Do these even exist? I haven't seen any. There are some 4-disc cases that are thin, but they're not THAT THIN. They'd be something like what the Lethal Weapon Collection is in. Unfortunately, wouldn't fit inside the slipcover.

I wanted to do this for Frankenweenie 3D and another, and found no solution other than storing the Digital Copy disc separately.

I've never seen them for sale separately, but some 3-disc sets (like the first two seasons of Hannibal) come in the right kind of case (double sided 12mm with brackets) and if you switch out the 1-disc flipper with a 2-disc from any regular 3-disc case you get a non-stacked 4-disc 12mm case.

Really wish they were easier to find though. I only had the two from Hannibal and used them for the Bruce Lee Premier Collection with a slipcover and to put Serenity in with Firefly: The Complete Series.

Yes, they exist. 12mm case with a hub on each side and a 2 disc swing tray in the middle. I have one.

Fox distributed 3-disc sets have them. My latest is the 3D Penguins of Madagascar and Exodus: Gods and Kings.

I picked up some of these and they're nice. The orange is a little more transparent the Viva Elites. The only issue with them is that the Audiobook slogan at the top isn't removable as it's raised up from the rest of the case.

I should have been more specific. I'm trying to REPLACE the stacked disc cases. That's what Frankenweenie 3D and some other titles are already in.

i recently bought some 3d cases from casetopia and was super excited but the single disc ones look for square or rectangular on the edges was disappointed...do any place sell the more "standard" blu style case, rounder? not too keen with these lol the two disc however are beautiful.

Lastly, 3 Disc 3D case. Anyone know where they can be had? i wont even mention the 4 Disc 3D lol
