They tend to have some inaccurate specs in the beginning. I've used them before with no complaint. Took 1.5 weeks to get my package using the cheapest shipping option.

I'd call them to make sure it's a blu-ray

DVD-9

DVD-9 is a single sided dual layer DVD which can fit up to 8.5 GB or 7.95 computer GB which many commercial video DVDs are using today (a DVD-9 is basicly two pressed plastic DVD-5s pressed together, they are not burned). Video DVD supports this format but DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W does not support this format.

Default How limited is Clone Wars steelbook?

How many copies did they make of it?

Also, where do you get the information about the amount of production of all steelbooks?

Much help appreciated.

THANKS!

The most common number I have heard is 1000 Copies. I beleive this came from Warner NL.

To your second Question, usually Google

I don't know if it just me, but this number (1000) just seems wrong for some reason. Not the way these have been popping up left and right as of lately-LOL! Didn't they only press 2000 of The John Rambo Steelbook? It Seems that this and the I Am Legend Germany seems more rare the The Clone Wars Steelbook.

It could be that no one really bought this title in the Netherlands - leaving a lot of other titles for sale.

Also, a lot of us would have ordered from some of these online retailers - had we not had doubts about any copies left, or some reports of them being randomly mixed in with other cases.

I think it plausible that in a lot of ways this is a "manufactured rarity" - meaning there are a lot of copies still available, it's just hard to track them down.

Who knows for sure though.

Well technically speaking, I read somewhere on the official SteelBook website that you needed to order a minimum of 8000 copies.
Now, Warner have the power to ask for 10 copies if they so desire.

Let's do some estimates.

How many copies have popped up online? 300? That's considering all the other websites there exists (Amazon, eBay, craigslist, sellyourmom.com).
Now what about personal copies sold and kept? 400 in the NL?
Add to that the 100 copies that website got. And you're at 800, fill in the void and you get your 1000.

I looked at steelbook.com and never saw this? You are quoting someone guess from another site

Not really a fair comparison. Rambo and IAL have both been out MUCH longer and all Stocks have long been exhausted. Plus Rambo got hit by the Censorship Law here in Germany, which is why you well NEVER see it on eBay or other Sites here as it is illegal to offer them without some sort of Age Verification (PostIdent). IAL is rare simply because it hass been OOP vor quite some time.

Clone Wars was also very expensive until the Site I mentioned earlier started selling the approx. 140 Copies they have. Once those are also exhausted, it will most likey go back up in Value.
