This hint is pretty solid for Mulholland Drive.

Unfortunately I doubt it, since Criterion, to the best of my knowledge, has never released any of Toei's films.

I currently do not own any of the Milestone films on blu-ray, although I have been waiting for the price to drop on On the Bowery. They seem to be a company more focused on maintaining a film's artistry than on dollars and cents.

I'm pretty sure StudioCanal still owns The Elephant Man, but Paramount has the rights for USA, so it is up to them.

StudioCanal also owns Mulholland Drive, but Universal has the rights for it in the USA.

SC's involvement is actually one of the reasons I think this release might have taken so long, other than, of course, David Lynch himself.

I'm pretty sure Elephant Man will end up with Shout, as Mel Brooks wants them to release a set of the films that Brooksfilms produced, but he personally had little to do creatively. Other films will be My Favorite Year, The Fly, Fatso, etc.

I got it from Import CDs for less than $20 some time ago -- definitely worth seeing.
