2. Which future release, if announced, would most excite you? Disregard the probability of it actually happening. In other words, you can include Warner Bros, or even Disney titles, in your wished-for release.

My answers:

1. Red River
2. The Big Sleep (both cuts)
My tastes are rather simple:

1.- Foreign Correspondent
2.- Night Train to Munich or The 49th Parallel

No I havn't seen them but I know there are a lot of other releases that would be considered 'big', I never would have considered the 'Before' films to be a big announcement, so makes me excited to want to see them

Wasn't a nasty reply lol

1. The Essential Jacques Demy. I was honestly expecting just a bunch of single releases over the course of several years but to have all of those beautiful gems in one place made me audibly squee for joy.

2. Stalker from Andrei Tarkovsky. There's so much I could respond with here.

I'd prefer The Mirror personally, don't see many people discuss that film!

Luckily Artificial Eye are releasing a bluray set of their Tarkovsky Collection which will be great!

When people are asked for their individual opinion, it's rather rude to belittle it. Especially in this instance when you haven't seen them films. Why not give your own choices and participate instead of idly commenting from your position of extreme ignorance?

The Mirror was another choice along with so many other things I'd love to see but likely won't because of rights.

Unfortunately and thankfully (for my wallet at least), I'm not region free!

You're completely misinterpreting the situation. Polaroid wasn't belittling anyone, nor being ignorant.

Cheers - don't waste your time though, this guy likes to sit things up and twist it :P

Putting subject back on track :P What makes The Before Trilogy so good? I am interested to see it, just been put off because of Boyhood which I guess is a tad unfair :P Also are all three films equally good, or which is the best?

Solaris is only $18 on Amazon with Prime shipping right now. I went ahead and bit. Been avoiding the movie because I actually like the US remake and didn't want it ruined, which I know is weird but whatever. Looking forward to finally seeing this.

Sunrise and Sunset are on Amazon. The "HD" is far from blu-ray quality but passable. Midnight is on blu-ray.

You'll thank us later. They're very cerebral and intelligent.

Wise choice, SV! One of the greatest films ever, certainly of science fiction. Which brings me to my answers:

1. Solaris
2. Stalker

I've only seen Boyhood once and I've seen every 'Before' film multiple times (and on the big screen) so my preference is 'Before' over 'Boyhood'.

Before Sunset is the best of them all. The ending is beautiful.

Rosemary's Baby. I was like a kid on Christmas morning when that newsletter clue was released.

[Show spoiler]

This isn't exactly at the top of my wishlist but it's definitely up there, it would be totally unexpected and nobody else is going to be releasing it anytime soon (ie ever, probably).

Between those three factors my delight level would be through the roof if I ever awoke to that hint/clue/announcement.
