In some of the Dressed To Kiss replacement discussions someone mentioned Eraserhead. What was the problem with Eraserhead? I just bought it two days ago during the sale. Havent watched it yet. Curious if there is something I can look for to make sure I have the right disc. Thanks. : )

If you just bought it recently then it's almost certainly one of the corrected copies.

...I think the corrected disc says something like Vol. 2 on it.

...or something like that.

Cool.

There is a chance I'll revisit the film. I might like it better the second time around, who knows?

Bummer. To be fair though, I think Nolan's version is more accessible and more entertaining.

Yeah, it's not usually the type of film I like, but I can admire it.

It certainly wasn't what I expected, and it did drag at times. I will have to watch it again to let it all sink in.

Neat. I may have to check it out sometime.

I'm afraid not. Might have to add it to my rental queue as well.

I know which one is considered better, but it'll be interesting to see which one of the two I end up liking better whenever I end up watching both versions of The Killers. I'll probably just do it as a double feature on an off day from work.
Yeah, I think I like them about equal. I can see how the 60s version is a little bit on the cheap and cheesy side, but I liked how gritty it is, especially with Lee Marvin. I think it's more entertaining, but the 40s version is classier/better-made.

Would anyone recommend Love Streams? Where does it rank in the Cassevetes filmography?

Can't stand that film. To me it's little more than a warmed over L'Avventura.

If you like the other films in the box set, then I figure you'll like it. But all 5 films in that box are better, IMO.

Finally the sale is over. Never spent so much on films before. Very much awaiting them to arrive.

If we're still talking about amazing final shots, you can't pass up L'Avventura.

I'd love to see Kim Ki-duk. Hell, I'd just like to see some of his films get a US blu-ray release, regardless of the label. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring and 3-Iron are two of my favorite films, and modern masterpieces, imo.

Thanks dude, I actually haven't seen Satyricon, but I might give the Trilogy of Life a rent before purchasing.
