Same here. At this point I'm pretty close to importing the Arrow though (apparently region free fwiw).

Just import the Arrow. It's a great edition and is cheap on Amazon UK.

Be careful though because I seem to remember that one of those De Palma releases (either Sisters or Obsession, I can't remember which, maybe even both) was initially region free but subsequent pressings were locked. So you might want to do a bit of research to confirm this before pulling the trigger.

I can only speak to the release I have. I picked it up on Amazon UK maybe two months ago. I have a Region A player in my bedroom and watched it in there last month.

Yes, the copy I have is playable on my Region A player as well, but anyone considering a purchase should read through this thread as there seems to be some discussion about a second pressing being locked to B....

mja345, there must have been some region free ones in the wild, but Arrow, as they are wont to do on many occasions, were supposed to region lock the disc but they didn't and they had to reissue it as a locked disc.

I don't see Criterion getting either.

The boxed set of the 70th anniversary edition of Casablanca has everything a fan could want.

Not a chance. Though maybe Criterion could release the 1931 Maltese Falcon. It's an excellent film which is a pity it isn't on BluRay.
