Still on for the Jarmusch titles, my most wanted of his! Especially in for the Jackie Chan double feature and Face in the Crowd! Might pick up My Brilliant Career as a blind buy!

I get the joke, but it's pretty bad looking.

Plus, I'm willing to bet Eureka's will be the clear winner in terms of image quality unless Criterion can change the colour grading- which I doubt.

Already have the Eureka Police Story box set, which is phenomenal, but Jackie Chan on Criterion makes me really want to double-dip. I guess it could be worth it for the HD version of the Police Story 2 original Hong Kong cut, which is only in SD on the Eureka disc. The Eureka disc looks to be more complete though, with additional cuts of the films, even if some are SD, unless Criterion's current listing is incomplete in regards to what will actually be featured in the set. But Criterion also has some exclusive specials of their own, so as a HUGE fan of these movies, the double dip could be worth it for me.

Edit: Also, A Face in the Crowd is way overdue on blu-ray and I'm super excited about it! A true classic.

There’s a more on Criterion’s, so the special features aren’t finished!

No way! GTFO! The first two Police Story films are coming to Criterion? DAY ONE! Good thing I hold off buying the original releases.

Default Something Stranger

Stranger Than Paradise, NYC, 1984. Wasn't that a time. I was in school, working on St. Mark's, most likely saw this around the corner or perhaps crosstown, then shared a plate of pierogis afterwards with a date over at the Kiev or Veselka, followed by some cheap drinks over at the Holiday, or even better, free drinks at the apartment of a friend, or friends of a friend/acquaintances, strangers, who knows.

Guess I'm picking this up, Jim. For old times sake.

I second that about the Eureka set, also since its been out for a few months already I would imagine everyone who is region free, already got the eureka one, since I imagine the eureka one will wind up being cheaper as well

Has anyone posted these? Not sure how, or if, they'll be incorporated into the main box set.

I'm really embarrassed to admit this, but I've never seen A Face in the Crowd. It's been on my radar for a very long time, but for whatever reason it's just never happened.

Mind you: This does NOT mean I'm not buying it.

If I had to guess, it will be a slipbox release with two digicases.

I would love to see Drunken Master & Drunken Master II and Armour of God & Armour of God II: Operation Condor get released next by Criterion if Police Story 1-2 sell well.

April is an excellent month. Police Story, A Face in the Crowd(way overdue), and Diamonds in the Night. I'll also second that No Time for Sergeants needs a BluRay release.

This may be a stupid question but why didn’t they add the third Police Story movie? Is there some legal reason or is that one so good it warrants it’s own individual release?

I believe it's still owned by Miramax and Lionsgate (Who have NA rights to the library) rarely, if ever, sub-license.

I've never heard of a Face in the Crowd, it looks good, but correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like Network.

Is it better/just as good?
