My Brilliant Career is a maybe; the Němec I'll buy from Second Run. The Kazan I already own on DVD but haven't watched yet. Not an exciting month for me; as always, glad for those who liked it.

I am thrilled about the Police Story releases. Hopefully this opens up the possibility of other movies from that era like Dreadnaught, Magnificent Butcher, the Lucky Stars movies, or Encounters of the Spooky Kind.

Disappointed to see that the two Jarmusch titles are not from new restos like the rest of his films in the collection.

The 2 Jarmusch titles both state "High-definition digital restoration, supervised and approved by director Jim Jarmusch", not to be a stickler, or "that guy" but does that mean these could be the same transfers done for the DVD just in HD now?

Just so used to seeing 4K this and 2K that haha. Either way, I'm getting both at some point.

Bought the 2005 DVD, in 2008 for $11.76 + shipping, but I used a gift card, so this'll be a nice upgrade.

Triple upgrade if you count Permanent Vacation which is included in the Stranger Than Paradise release.

"High-definition remaster" is almost always code-word for an older master.

Looks like I'll be double dipping for the Jarmusch blu-rays! I'm a Jarmusch completist so I need to own every movie he's released on blu-ray. Nice to see the upgrades for those films (plus an HD restoration of Permanent Vacation as part of the Stranger Than Paradise release). I've gotta say, Night on Earth is such a fun little film.
