That would be unprecedented, for them to release a BD of something another label has released on DVD. I don't think they've even done that for anything from IFC.

It's getting a BD release from Thunderbird/Soda in the UK, at least, and they've had region-free releases before...

They released Clouds of Sils Maria after it only got a DVD from IFC.

Fascinating. I was hoping someone would prove me wrong, actually

I asked a while back if Criterion had rereleased on BD any movies that IFC had released on DVD and no one came up with any answers. Now I can still hold out hope they'll release Bonello's House of Tolerance, which only had an IFC DVD.

But they have a "first pass" arrangement for anything IFC acquires, from what I understand, so I think it's still pretty unprecedented for them to do it for a contemporary movie from any other label, though...

In regard to the Criterion Channel, are these the only "Movies of the Week" thus far? And are the dates of release accurate?

1. Mikey and Nicky (01/30/19)
2. Chungking Express (02/06/19)
3. Saturday Night and Sunday Morning/Tom Jones (02/13/19)

Cronenberg mentioned he was overseeing a restoration some time back and they’ve worked with him before!
