Honestly this delay is probably a good thing.

Means this announcement is gonna be huge. Hopefully.

It's been a long time coming.
Glad I never imported that very old Artisan DVD after all.

are with Sony, so they are possible. Project A 1 and 2 are Miramax in the US, so no chance. Drunken Master has been released by Twilight Time, so that is locked up for a couple more years.

Unfortunately, a lot of the HK titles released by Eureka are with Miramax in the US.
But how about Drunken Master II aka Legend of the Drunken Master. That needs a criterion quality release badly.

This is a great podcast, it seems to confirm UHD and they did put a lot of thought into picking spine 1000, and they have a working relationship with Disney.

Super interesting and informative.

Soderbergh had them do an HDR grade on SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE.

Disappointing. It is frustrating how they have the rights to some great asian cinema but they completely butcher them smh

I figured out what's going to happen.

There won't be a spine #1000!

It's sort of akin to a 13th floor at a hotel.

1000 will be skipped and it will go straight to 1001.

I love that the Coen Bros said “what’s HDR?” watched a few minutes of Blood Simple in HDR and said “ok”

There is at least a decent (if imperfect) WB release overseas. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...&postcount=109

One noir that hasn't been mentioned yet that I feel deserves attention is Jules Dassin's Rififi. If you like The Asphalt Jungle there's a pretty good chance you'll like Rififi.

From the HTF podcast, Kurosawa's Dersu Uzala has been held up by element issues, and may still be a while before a release.

If they wait till next year, the boxset could be timed with Kurosawa’s 110th Birthday.

From HTF: There's a lot of "maybes" in the podcast, but a Pandora's Box re-print/upgrade is a "good maybe."
