I havent listened to the podcast but it is safe to assume that Egoyan mentioned that Criterion is releasing The Sweet Hereafter, Calender, Exotica, and The Adjuster

Because of some of the other titles that Warner is releasing on UHD.

I never thought Barry Lyndon had any chance of a 4K release.

IMDB scores of 4K releases:

2001 - 583,006 members
Dr. Strangelove - 438,164
Full Metal Jacket - 653,155
The Shining - 860,790

Barry Lyndon - 143,828

===========================================

Added three more.

I Knew Her Well (Blind buy.)
Betty Blue (Blind buy.)
3 Women (Watched it on Netflix a couple of years ago.)

I guess I’ll try again in the morning.
100% agree with your rant on this. I find that if I type in whoever is starring in the film in the search engine their films will all line up and I just click on the film to add to my cart.

I just ordered online B&N yesterday (or maybe the day before) and they had 5 of the 7 Criterion's I wanted. Not too bad, I guess.

It did come in an extra box, but that box was placed in an oversized box so it just bounced around. The corners were all crushed in.

BTW, whatever happened to The Eyes of Orson Welles?

There are reviews and articles from 2018. Criterion announced they would release it on disc in 2019. We are now halfway through 2020 and nary a peep.

???

Default Portrait of a Lady on Fire

This is “Temporarily Out of Stock Online“ at B&N. How soon should I expect it to come back in stock? Thanks.

I placed an order for Marriage Story.

Current events and social distancing have got me feeling down and out, so I need a cheerful movie like this to put a smile on my face.

I kind of assumed that the ones with a Janus logo were probably gonna be released on disc. I would really love a Blu-ray of Felicia’s Journey, but that’s not part of the films on the channel right now

It’s brilliant. Very bleak and heavy but a lot of great cinematography, an engaging soundtrack and some powerful scenes.

At first I just ordered a couple things online, on the night the sale started. But today I drove down to my local B&N to pick up a few more.

I don't like to go overboard during these kinds of sales, so I tried to only pick movies that seemed very intriguing to me. All of it is new to me (except most of the Bruce Lee stuff) and I look forward to watching it all.

This is it, 'til next year.
