Amazed to find one copy of the Bruce Lee set (without spider wrap) just sitting there, so naturally, I did the decent thing...

I feel like they should be discounted as damaged goods. They definitely fit the description of scratch and dent.

Well im done with this sale for now. Made out with Scorsese Shorts, Age of Innocence, Grand Budapest Hotel, Godzilla Boxset, and The Bruce Lee Boxset I want more but ive got Arrow Gamera Boxset, Titans of Cult 2001 Steel, Flash Gordon 4k coming in Aug, and the next Criterion sale is in last week on Oct usually.

My only wish for Criterion in the immediate future is to formally announce 4k UHD disc already, This is getting annoying!

Looks like things may change for the worse in LA County in a few day's time. There's talk they may do a full shutdown except essential businesses because of continued spike in Coronavirus stats.

Earlier today I found an unused Barnes & Noble gift card in my room! I called up the number and discovered $25 credit on there!

You all know what I'm going to do of course!

Buy some Criterions!

(oh wait... if I can find any in stores that is).

Take the COVID-19 discussion to another site or to social media. Enough.

The only thing left is a trip to the Criterion Closet... where I'll never leave.

The Criterion Closet could use a gimp. I'll be that man. Whoever walks in there I'll be waiting with a blu-ray player in one hand, and a whip in the other.

Yes. A Criterion blu-ray-filled U-Haul truck so big, spanning a mile in length, I'll get lost in it.

No Barnes & Noble gift card can beat that!

Got two packages today in addition to my in store pickups. The Bruce Lee set somehow came through perfectly, but the three others that were shipped were squished in tight, no real damage to the cases other than Come and See, trying to decide if I should bug them or just let it go, the disc seems fine and it's a standard case anyways, doesn't give me confidence for how Marriage Story is gonna come through though.

Idk if I lucked out getting a dual format of Y tu Mama Tambien but that was a nice surprise

I was glad to see that the Bruce Lee set got restocked online. I was going to wait until payday but I went ahead and ordered it now.

UnobstructedView.com - formerly Video Services Corp, the Canadian distributor for Criterion - has launched a 40% off sale.

Depending on the exact exchange rate, it works out to pretty much what it would cost to import from the US.

I’ve been saving up my (small) wish list for a while and ordered most of it... 5 of which are backordered, so we’ll see exactly how that works out, but I was glad to place it all in one go:

Considering they are both seven disk sets, that's some size difference between the Tati and Lee sets

Tati box has the films in individual digipacks, and a thick booklet. BL set has a foldout arrangement with double disc trays.

The Irishman
American Factory
Memories of Murder
Eyes Wide Shut
Wong Kar Wai Box Set
After Hours (PLEEEEASE...know it will probably only come from Warner Archives at some point though)

I don't know if it's a price glitch or whatever but Amazon US has:

Beauty and the Beast
Moonrise
Bowling for Columbine
It Happened One Night

for $5.06 each.
