TCM had Kinoshita's Garden of Women on this morning. A powerful and intelligent film, and surely in Criterion's wheelhouse. Oshima credited this film with convincing him to be a filmmaker. Maybe we can take a break from 4K upgrades to give this a BD release.

I only caught the last hour or so of it but was absolutely glued to it. Fortunately, it’s on the Watch TCM app until June 13. I was surprised that Criterion didn’t even have a dvd release.

I think Secret of Nimh is much more likely to come from Shout, given how many MGM films they've handled and their large catalog of animated releases. Honestly though, I don't care WHO Nimh releases from, I'm just desperate to see it receive anything better than its ancient DVD-level remaster. PLEASE.
