Personally I liked it, it found it quite fascinating the way people got completely obsessed and to the point it did. It is not an easy movie to talk/write about without seeming like a pervert (even in this thread, I would guess ![]() Quote:
BTW, what do you people do about the name/barcode (I think it has a barcode) strip at the top of Criterions, especially since they are not on all their movies. Do you meticulously peel them off, stick them on a glass-plate and iron them flat? |

I'd blind-buy that film in a second just based on that shot. Of course, if I blind-bought the DVD a blu-ray will immediately be announced ![]() Would love to see this film... |

I'm amazed that anyone found Charade's writing atrocious? The Writers Guild of America even nominated it for best written comedy in 64'. I personally like dialog that has different meanings which Charade is full of. Maybe not the best movie in the world, but I've always found it enjoyable.
Speaking of Grant I wish Criterion would get the rights back for Notorious. For that matter I'd just like to see some more of his movies on Blu-ray. Like The Philadelphia Story, His Girl Friday, The Awful Truth or Arsenic and Old Lace. Would be nice to see Audrey Hepburns's Wait till Dark released as well. A favorite of mine that is underrated IMO. |

![]() Slight change of subject, should I watch High and Low first, or The Killing/Killer's Kiss? I just had both dropped off to me at the office by my mom. |

![]() Seriosuly though, I get my online orders shipped to her house to ensure that I get them, because I don't have a full-sized mail box at my apartment, and the Canada Post office isn't in a convienient spot for me to do a pick-up. Normally I wait until the weekends to get anything, but she had to do some shopping in the city, and just dropped them off for me. ![]() |
