One Night in Miami... is my favorite film of 2020, so that's a must buy. Also, The Red Shoes 4K upgrade. Never seen The Learning Tree, so it'll go on my long list of movies to see before buying

I love the cover for The Learning Tree. Just a beautiful composition.

I was not surprised by the absence of SUPERMAN from Criterion this year…I suspected things did not look good for it, especially since this year marked the 40th anniversary of the US release of SUPERMAN II. But I was surprised WEST SIDE STORY was blacklisted as well. Yes, it is full of flaws, but it is still visually stunning to see 60 years later.

Criterion’s December lineup could have been better.

This is an even weirder reaction than the racism from earlier.

Why would you think Superman would get a Criterion release?

SUPERMAN (1978) is set to be the first of three initial 4K discs from The Criterion Collection (the others are tentatively BRAZIL and THE SOUND OF MUSIC).

The SUPERMAN set will come in two editions. A “limited collectors edition” is set to include the theatrical cut on 4K, and four Blu-rays that feature all three cuts of the film, plus new and legacy supplements (trailers, TV spots, etc,), isolated score track, five commentary tracks from the filmmakers and fans of the film, and a collectors book, all in a special red case.
The standard edition will be a four-disc blu ray set with the aforementioned features.
There will also be a new featurette created especially for this edition, “Superman The Legacy”, hosted by Darci Lynne with interviews from surviving cast members and new & archival interviews with stars of the Superman franchise.

This set is scheduled ......

HEY WAIT! APRIL FOOLS! This has not been officially announced yet, of course, for real. But then again, the definitive home entertainment release of SUPERMAN is still yet to come!

Worthwhile month for 4k Red Shoes alone (and my wallet) .

I haven't seen the other two, but now I feel like writing in "Eve's Bayou" in the suggestion box.

I’m with you on Eve’s Bayou, but I think it’s Lionsgate, and they don’t like to play well. I hope I’m wrong!

I'm in for "The Learning Tree". Looks very interesting; I've never seen it.

"Red Shoes" I have the BD (I'm not 4K at this time); "One Night" I streamed and was just 'Meh' about.

So, just "Learning Tree" for me.

I hope so too. But shouldnt the Piano release be a cause for optimism?

They’ve been cut out, so now we can move on and talk about the movies!

Very weak month (especially since 2 were already announced including 1 that's just an upgrade), expected for December though I guess.

I'll for sure be getting One Night In Miami.

Seeing another Amazon film gives me hope that Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series of films could get a box set release.
