Who the f**k are u? I'm the real Jon Mulvaney, and I'm here to announce that Criterion is releasing the 'World of Uwe Boll' 4K Boxset!!!!

I just saw Samurai Rebellion in 1080p and man it looked fantastic. I still can't believe Criterion hasn't upgraded this yet.

Thank you for your concern. No it doesn't mean I'll never buy direct from them again. It's not the only code I have received, or ever will receive, from them.

I have told everyone who PM'd more titles I didn't post here. They can divulge if they want.

I've revealed roughly half of their 2022 output and will not reveal more as they some real goodies up their sleeve even moreso than what I have listed.

Yes but tommy wiseau wouldn't. If you've ever read the disaster artist Wiseau himself would be obsessed over the presentation esprcially on 4k. A complete micromanage that kino would not be able to handle

Contempt and Le Cercle Rouge but these are pretty much safe to guess anyways.

two more I will not say anything about other than one is a director who doesn't have a film in the collection and is very controversial, the other is an upgrade from an eclipse set getting a standalone.
Will Contempt get a 4K or probably not? I'm not sure whether or not the state of the source material for Contempt would justify a 4K. We'll see though. I'm guessing Le Circle Rouge would get a 4k presuming it's already gotten one in Europe.

I have a feeling the French Eclipse film getting a standalone is Chantal Akerman's Les Rendez-vous D'Anna.

Criterion

Dear film aficionados,

Ponder this: What if Jason Polan isn't really dead and he is still alive, just like Elvis or Tupac or Jim Morrison, and he now has assumed a new name and no longer works at Criterion because he was leaking too many clues from his annual New Years illustrations.

Sure it sounds like a Simpsons episode, but, well, you can speculate no more, because... I am actually the real Jon Mulvaney (no, not Spartacus, there's too many of them already). What I did here was turn the M upside down so its a W. Yes, its a real Hitchcockian tactic. So being jw007 instead of jm007, I have effectively been monitoring this forum for the past decade and have discovered all of you have become too self-aware of Criterion's day to day operations and strategies.

Why do I confess all of this now? Simple. fettuciné is actually a former employee of ours and is now taking advantage of his powers to intentionally leak classified material to everyone here. Fortunately, our current 30% off sale happening until December 20 should satisfy all of you who have the insatiable need to keep buying our releases. Happy holidays from all of us at Janus Films.

I just hope Cure is announced next week. The 4K remaster looks amazing and we really need this in the US.

Fettucine has dropped hints of both a spaghetti western and another Hellman film. Perhaps Criterion is going to release CHINA 9, LIBERTY 37. I've been hoping for this for a long time (also hope Hellman recorded a commentary before his death).

they're both different releases and not the same hint. I told someone through PM what the Hellman was.

I will not reveal the spaghetti western but you guys had some good guesses.

Okay one hint:

score by ennio morricone

because that really narrows it down

Guessing it's Once Upon A Time in the West, but hoping it's Run, Man, Run.

Once Upon A Time in the West is one of my favorite westerns. I hope so especially if its 4K UHD.

Lev Kuleshov's By The Law is getting a release which is very exciting and it has a bonus film included (standard pricing don't worry) and they're releasing another animated film. This time from Japan!

alright folks

I can reveal 5 more titles before I have revealed exactly half the slate as it stands now (december still not finalized and likely wont be til next month).

So.... what do you guys wanna know? I'll pick the 5 best inquiries and go from there.

And to be clear there is no way I'm revealing anymore after that. Like I said before the other half of 2022's slate has some real goodies and just as exciting as what I have revealed so far and I believe there still needs to be some surprise.

lastly, no more questions about the november director's box. It's easy enough to guess and one of you did guess it. I will not confirm or deny who or what.

Hints or actual titles?

If actual titles how about something from the Japan, HK, Netflix slate. Or, some more hints about those titles.
