Make sure to redeem as gift codes and not promo codes.

I don't know about them getting deleted, but I added mine before the sale and they were both still there when I checked out. I did have to actually select both of them when I got to the Payment page during Checkout. It puts a green box around them when you select them.

What types of gift certificates are they? Sometimes they can't be used for the same month. I had one from March (for being a Criterion Channel charter subscriber) and one from December (a holiday gift cert) so they both worked. Like, if you got one for March and say, a friend of yours got one for March too and they're not planning to use it so they gave it to you, you can't apply both of them at checkout.

They're both Citizen Kane gift certificates. A friend gave me his he didn't want.

That's what I figured! I didn't think they'd lock them out like promo codes though. Kinda misleading using "gift certificate" verbiage but it is what it is!

You could place two orders above $50 (since you're in the states and would thus qualify for free shipping) and then use one on each order. That SHOULD work.
