I'm not a good judge at all. That's my fav. Criterion release out of the ones that I have seen. I'd watch it, and then see. If you really don't like it your feelings about it probably will not change, but if you do like it, keep it. It's oop and going for a good bit on ebay.

Just finished watching Modern Times, Night of the Hunter, & Antichrist. I enjoyed all 3 but have to say that Modern Times really left me in awe! Maybe its because its the first Chaplin movie I have seen or the fact that I have fallen in love with Silent Films recently...

Would you stay in a relationship with someone, too, if you didn't like them?

Well, I'm watching the movie right now...my verdict will be up in 2 1/2 hours

Anyways, DEAD RINGERS needs a Blu-Ray release since all versions of the movie are OOP.

Wow, went to play the 2nd disc of my Equinox set and it's got a cracked hub. Will Criterion replace the title for me, I bought it elsewhere (B&N) but the return window on the receipt has expired (14 days) .

I would try B&N anyway. Most places aren't TOO particular about that if you explain that you are a collector and don't necessarily watch all your movies immediately.

Ordered "America Lost and Found" at the local B&N last Friday.

Wanted to just buy it at the store but apparently it's pre-order only, which made me a bit nervous given B&N's reputation. Sure enough, got an email on Tuesday saying the order had been delayed. No word from them yet.

I work for a major internet retailer, and this kind of crap should never, EVER happen.

Thankfully the clerk let me use the black friday coupon. Came to $69.99. Not bad.

I've had my America: Lost & Found Blu for a few weeks now from Family Video. Still haven't watched any of them yet, and have never seen any of the films. I'm hoping I find them appealing. I bought it because they are (mostly) important films; however, they seem pretty bleak and depressing, which I don't usually go in for. My life is bleak and depressing enough.

Probably the finest film about twin gynecologists who develop surgical tools for mutant women. I actually love this film. Jeremy Irons x 2.

Yeah, surprisingly the best part of that movie is what you said at the end of your post. You really can never have too much Jeremy Irons in a movie. In fact, I'll go so far as saying that I wish we could get a sequel to Being John Malkovich called, and get this because it's gonna blow your mind, Being Jeremy Irons.

Are you referring to the hub on the case or the plastic center of the disc? I just received a replacement disc for "Sawdust and Tensel" from Criterion that I bought from B&N. I always send photos of damaged discs with my e-mail to Criterion. It's never been an issue getting the replacement... you just have to send them your damaged disc.

I've had Criterion eight titles in one order delayed since Nov 26th. I have another order delayed with them from the same date as well. I also sent them an email about a cancelled item over a week ago and no one bothered to contact me back.

Yea, B&N certainly requires patience to deal with.

Got done watching The Man Who Fell To Earth, it was not what I expected!

The cinematography and visual style is great, but the story lags in some places...especially since its nearly half-way through the film that they tell you why David Bowie is on Earth. I wish the Blu-Ray came with all the neat extras the DVD did.

I just finished watching Head. The only thing I could of saying afterwards was: Interesting.

I'm hoping that it's gonna be a film that grows on me.

Honestly.... when I saw that shirt, I thought it was supposed to be funny because both Cage and Travolta are douches

I guess the fact that the movie Face Off exists, ruins the humor in the shirt for me.....
but Face-Off IS the joke. You immediately realize that it's not John Travolta. but then, wait a minute...it IS him. it's absurd and random, which is why i love it. Face-Off, on the other hand, is pretty awful itself. Ironically, the only pic of myself I have ever put on here was with those awful wax figured for Face Off. Maybe I secretly love it...
